There are often  problems with tokens, they are very vulnerable to changes in price and may simply not even get into the exchangers. I usually do not deal with tokens at all, only with promising coins

First of all you should understand the exchanges mechanics. Take a look this article (https://betterexplained.com/articles/what-you-should-know-about-the-stock-market/). After that take a look this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJVtgv6Zmq4) about classical stock exchange pump. At crypto market we have all the same, but much faster))

Pump and dumps allow a small group of people to make a lot of money off of the altcoin they are pump and dumping; but such actions reduce trust in crypto in the long term without a doubt. The % by which the price goes up during a pump and dump cycle is by all means fake and incredibly high, and such major shifts within the same day show people that crypto may not be trusted.

At the heart of any coin that is on the exchangers are mathematical algorithms. When a lot of traders start buying this coin, it immediately grows in price, when the coin is sold, the price falls. In fact, everything is simple. Same with tokens

As about tokens, everything is almost identical as coins, the main difference is that tokens are something from which everything starts, there are many types of tokens, but then at some point the coins appear

PND or pump and dump groups are consist of a group of traders which has some cooperation in their trades, they will pick some coins which they will pump with some target sell points which if they are done taking profits they will dump the coin, most of the newbies are getting victim of these PND coiins, exchanges doesnt allow these PND groups so you shouldnt be joining any of these because if you get caught ther are consequences for you lastly it wont improve your trading skills because you are relying to these ariticial PND groups.

So that might be a major reason behind instant market highs and lows at most of the time.
