Just my luck lol. I post this and then get a block. 10 as the reward.

It has a random address below it, it does not match my address though, anyone know what this is?

It seems your rpc password is known by others. Have you changed your "rpcuser" and "rpcpassword"? Do not use the ones in the given sample config file.

No one knows my server IP / rpc user and even its port. All coins were sent immediately after confirmed. Lost around 150 PPL.

Beware, all my mined PPL coins was automatically sent to a strange address "PPVFXzdxcH5TpGCLCUXPyCQkdu4RQ5xfNQ".

PPL client was downloaded from Github and compiled under Linux so i think the PPL Devs are secretly stealing the coins.

.........

That would seem like a very sinister trick;

1) Launch new coin with 0 diff
2) Get many users to start mining
3) Steal confirmed coins
4) ??
5) Profit!

I think i'll be staying away from this coin...

Are they credited in your wallet? My XPM get credited to different addresses all the time, they are taken from your addresspool, nothing to worry about.

Edit mmcfe-ng-path/public/include/smarty_globals.inc.php
replace
Code:
$bitcoin->can_connect() === true ? $dNetworkHashrate = $bitcoin->query('getnetworkhashps') : $dNetworkHashrate = 0;
with:
Code:
if ($bitcoin->can_connect() === true) {
  $dNetworkHashrate = $bitcoin->query('getmininginfo');
  if (is_array($dNetworkHashrate) && array_key_exists('networkhashps', $dNetworkHashrate))
    $dNetworkHashrate = $dNetworkHashrate['networkhashps'];
}
Then the network hashrate will be available.

We can safely throw this one in the trash pile.

You are wrong. Terracoin used different exploitable approach, PPL uses PPCoin's method.

1,440,000 coins aren't a lot...
If this coin doesn't fail and makes it to exchanges successfully it should have a quite pleasing value; right?

Yes and with the diff retarget every block, it is much more fair on miners in general.

The Email registration is turned off, but unfortunately that does not always work.
I always turn freely by hand.

The pool is the night unfortunately a little problem with a double share_id. I have now resolved and the database is correct again. All blocks were added later. So everything should be ok now.

Had the same issue. You can contact support by going here:
http://coin-base.net/?page_id=76 (http://coin-base.net/?page_id=76)
2mins and they had it fixed. Only issue I had with the pool.

This coin is very interesting to me. Launch seems to have gone off flawlessly. Why such little attention to this coin? Not that that bothers me. I love the opportunity to soak up new coins that have potential before others notice ;)

The Email registration is turned off, but unfortunately that does not always work.
I always turn freely by hand.

The pool is the night unfortunately a little problem with a double share_id. I have now resolved and the database is correct again. All blocks were added later. So everything should be ok now.

Passed 50 minutes of any block it isn't found!
The pool finds blocks?
With a pool everything is normal?

Still a fair amount of hash power ticking away on this for a new coin, however the pool is all but dead.
Is there another pool around?

Please use only first LongPool (pushpool) 8438.
Stratum seems to have a problem with the coin.
. /minerd -url http://coin-base.net:8438/ -userpass Weblogin.Worker:Worker password
. /cgminer -o http://coin-base.net:8438/ -u Weblogin.Worker -p Workerpassword
When I found the error, I'll get back.

According to excpool it says that the network hashrate is lower than the pools hash rate. What is up with that? I've also noticed that solomining the difficulty changes from like 30K to 60K which is the size of the network being reported on excpool too. I am wondering if this is a bug within the code or something?

I don't think there are that many people coming and going either because it happens way too frequently

Stratum has problem with these pos coins. Pool efficiency is always below 100%. So pool's contribution to networkhashrate is lower than the displayed value.

We dev-team all have full-time jobs, can only do development or promotion in our spare time. We do this only for interests. So we don't have much time or resource on promotion. I'm sorry about this.
At least I think PPL is a good coin, no pre-mine, no cheating. And we do have a long-term plan. New versions, muilti-language translations, online games, etc.

And we are contacting a chinese exchange "btcltc.com"(need 200 "support" votes to be accepted):

Thank you for your support!

Unfortunately, I could not fix the database error from www.coin-base.net/peoplecoin/
Please transfer your coins. The disbursement of the developed and properly calculated blocks works! The exception are the last 400 blocks. By the database error can not be calculated. The affected user I have written. Please reply to my mail. If you have specified an incorrect email, please send me your right.

www.coin-base.net/ppl/
I have set up a new pool. The pool has a protection from the database error. detection for out-of-order shares
switch from Mmcfe-ng to MPOS
I transferred all your data into the new pool. You just have to change the portnumber to 3454.

The pool has moved. The new address is

www.coin-base.org/ppl/

All your data and coins were transferred.
You must only change net to org.

There are now two different Stratumports with different difficulties.
Port 3454 for normal Miner - Pool_target 16 (two shares is one Poolshare)
Port 4454 for fast Miner - Pool_target 32

The server is overloaded by many new users -  the pool moves to stronger hardware.
Please change to coin-base.info/ppl/ and do not forget to transfer your coins. All other settings were transferred to the new pool. You can start right there. You have only your miners change org against info .
If all pools have moved, move coin-base.org on the new server, and thus the final user.
The old pool is to be attained at all times, so that you can transfer your coins.

The new server is much more powerful, test it :)

Any news on this coin heading to Cryptsy?

I would say that this is very unlikely.  The network hash rate rarely exceeds 20MH with one main pool running.  Even that pool - isn't consistent, sometimes not paying out for long periods, or getting a run of hundreds of orphans.  Why this happens, I don't know.  It does sell on BtcLtc but the price isn't much, at present 0.5 CNY and looks like being this way for a while.

BtcLtc is the only exchange I know of that lists PPL.  Current value is 0.210010 CNY - not much, but it is possible to solo mine, and you get 1.25 PPL for each block.  Average network hashrate goes from about 1Mh to about 10Mh.

What is the deal with this coin?  From the outside looking in it looks like everything is going ok.  Crawler, exchange, and connections all look ok but cannot mine and block seems to be stuck with a very low diff.

If anyone cares about this coin resolve the issues before it is dead.

Hello everybody! My son advised me to do some investment here. I've got some bitcoins (thanks to son), but I don't know anything about other coins. Could you please tell me the difference between all of that stuff? I just want to make a right choice.

My advice: stay away from all the random shitcoins in this subforum.

Just stick with your Bitcoins, maybe convert something to Litecoin, but thats about it

I dont know about litecoin anymore, they haven't been doing much lately.  Might be better to diversify, do some research before you invest.  Vericoin is interesting, but to each his own.
