Title: We have been called many things, but we are still going strong.
Post by: Kakmakr on February 16, 2018, 05:50:19 AM
Over the years, our enemies has used all sorts of labels to categorize Bitcoin users. We were labelled as Drug addicts and Drug lords <Silkroad> or a bunch of Paedophiles exchanging Bitcoin in Dark markets for child porn and Money launderers and tax evaders, but it turned out that we are no different than any other person using any other payment network.

I have no doubt, that a small amount of people in this community could be involved in these activities, but when they paint a scarlet letter on a whole community, based on the small amount of people that are doing this, they should turn the mirror on themselves and do a bit of introspection.

We should not allow these people to ostracize us for the actions of a small group of people that are using this technology for criminal activities. It is time for the Bitcoin community to stand up for their rights as law abiding citizens and to educate these fools, with facts.

Show the world that Bitcoin is used more for legal business than illegal transactions in Dark markets.

Criminals are far more likely to use credit cards from carding sites (which they can purchase cheap) to protect their anonymity.  If a criminal wants to use BTC they have to actually own it.  What kind of criminal wants to spend his own money when he can spend someone else's!

Will even if they throw us a different type of issue bitcoin is always there to rise again and to become more stronger than before it is all because we all know that we are really doing the right thing and we are not really committing a crime on doing a couple of action on gaining a huge profit with the help of the trend bitcoin. I believe that bitcoin can really change my life that is why I am not really spending time in any issue I just continue working and Fuchs on doing work with btc for good because bashers can really help us at all.

a small group of people that are using this technology for criminal activities.

Governments are made up of a small group of people who have their own agenda, this small group of people who have their own agenda has the ability to deceive the majority group, when you hear words such as: "we as a government should protect our citizens that volatility that bitcoin has "you should read that phrase as a big joke.

there are many companies that pollute the environment, there are countries that are dedicated to make war against other countries only because they want oil and the riches of such a country. Yes the atrocities committed by this small group of people who are the government is at a high level... if bitcoin is something decentralized and somehow give power people who are not part of the small group of people who are the government so this small group of people who are the government are taking strict measures against bitcoin to save their own interests, they are not saving people... so it does not matter what they say... besides you can not do anything. if they realize that bitcoin can benefit them, they will regulate bitcoin and use bitcoin

It is time for the Bitcoin community to stand up for their rights as law abiding citizens and to educate these fools, with facts.

It is not as if they did not realize the advantages of bitcoin, they know that bitcoin is something good (good for people) but at the same time bitcoin is not good for their obscure interests, bankers and governments are the ones that have created barriers.

It is sad to hear that there have been instances that bitcoin has been used in stupid and illegal things what you have said. This wasn't the goal of the developers when they came up with the idea of bitcoin in the first place. These kinds of news and instances just proves the doubters and causes some interested people not to jump into bitcoin. This is the sad fall back of decentralized currency. Since no identities are provided in the wallets it can be used in such transactions.

Let them call what they want to call us. They are just jealous that they don't have bitcoin, that's how humanity goes now even you are not involved with such illegal activities they will generalize and include us being labelled with those people who are doing wrong things.
When bitcoin hit $50k that is when they realized their mistake while it is too late to cry... hahaha ;D
Let them realize that and let them cry, when they are saying such words did they even realize that we are also hurt?

The goal was quite simple, create something that can be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime, be it for legal or illegal purposes and this is where the value of Bitcoin lies. A person indulging in anything illegal would use whatever is convenient for them, be it Bitcoin, cash, credit cards or other methods. There is no blame game, criminalizing, banning when anything apart from Bitcoin/cryptos are used for illegal activities, the whole Bitcoin as a currency used by criminals is a fallacious argument.

all of these bullshit techniques have only slowed down the process of mass adoption because it scared people until they got to know bitcoin better. and it is sometimes pathetic to see them try their best to damage bitcoin's reputation by calling bitcoin and bitcoin users names that they deserve it more. for example evil banks that have a corrupt history of a lot of illegal activities, money laundering and a lot more have always been the hottest opposition against bitcoin! that is just absurd.

Yes, waited for someone to point that out. It is not the tool, but rather the person using the tool that are guilty. Imagine if the media blamed everyone using guns, because one crazy kid walked into a school and killed 17 people.

It was not the gun, commiting the crime, it was the crazy kid. Weapons are also used to protect people from crazy people like this. People use guns to hunt and competitive Sport shooting, so there are loads of examples where things are used for both Good and Bad things. This is 100% the same for Bitcoin.

Of course it was. In any great, new system, the initial stages are always filled with "black/dark" usage. Read: the internet, cryptocurrencies, humanity

All forms of payments are abused by scammers, frauds and criminals. I know a lot of people using stealth Paypal accounts for selling illegal items. It does not mean that PayPla is evil. Same apples to bitcoin, majority is using it for legal transactions.

I couldn't agree more with all the fud that's been going on about bitcoin being used for criminal activities only and the number of those people who are using it for this illegal acts doesn't even get up to 10% of the whole crypto market this technology is so Good to be wasted on these things and i really hope it will be used in the future for more legal acts

I agree with you, criminals are not that patient to first invest huge money in bitcoin. nevertheless, bitcoin encourage money laundry because no central body that regulate or control it. As for the enemies thet are beginning to  see the reality of it.

No. Bitcoin isn't encouraging anyone to launder money. That's just a wrong way of talking about Bitcoin, and a wrong way to talk about any tool in general. By that logic, a knife would also encourage mentally ill people to stab someone. It's wrong to blame tools for people's abuse, and that's the only logical thing to say here. Bitcoin is upcoming and forming a threat to the governmental and banking system, which is why they don't shy away from attempting to tarnish Bitcoin's reputation by saying it's a safe haven for criminals, that terrorist funding happens through Bitcoin, etc. It's classic mainstream media propaganda sponsored by banks and governments....

That is correct, There is no human being that have a healthy mind that will call bitcoin or other types of crypto currency a source of money laundering or encourage people to do money laundering except those people who have a mentally ill mind. I'll give another example of this kind of logic that those mentally ill people has, If someone shot him/her do you think that he/she will blame the one that shot him//her or blame the gun for shooting at him/her? Based on his/her statement he/she would blame the gun on that way of thinking. ;D

We cannot separate the thought of people about dark market, illegal activities, crimes and other bad things when in terms of bitcoin since it is true that it is happening in the world. For us to be able to show the world about its benefit or how we used it in the good ways, then we can have advertisements or promotion to bitcoin as not only for crimes but also for good sake. Comparing the number of using it for good against for bad maybe a good way to show people the real meaning of it to us.

As with all things that are new, people are scared, because they don't know how those things are going to affect their lives. They go automatically in defense mode. But there is another side, the real dark side of small groups of people that live in their perfect rotten world with corrupted deviated heads that think they can control everything. Not this time. This time is ours and don't let you anyone tell you different. We are going the right way and we choose our future.

We just need to continue our support to Bitcoin to prove the other people who don't belive and somehow make false acquisition to Bitcoin which somehow destroy it's image to other people. But we all know that Bitcoin is more than what people think. It is the money of the future that we could have for a better and develop future of our life.
