Title: Soft Fork vs. Hard Fork

Could someone explain to me what soft/hard forks mean?  ??? ???

And what are the differences?

The stackexchange link gives a great explanation. From my point of view I might add, that for a hard fork, everybody must upgrade their software: wallets, miners, everybody. For a soft fork, wallets do not need to upgrade their clients, only the miners must. This is a real usability difference.
