You get 10% a year from just staking ARK (no server or masternode needed).

currently i like smartcash the most, it has 170% ROI(will go down every month because block reward) and the coin is at an all time low, it costs around 2600$ to get a node and will make 100$ weekly. also its a top 100 coin which makes it much more stable with 200-300k volume daily and this with shitty exchanges.

Masternode coin.

1 DASH
2 Pivx
3 Nem

Pos (staking your coin to earn passive income)

1 Neo
2 Stratis
3 Reddcoin

They are all offering good annual return but only some of them put some requirements before you can try to join to become masternode especially for dash platform. But it looks majority of them didn't put any requirement like dash especially for all of staking coin.

Innova seems to be undervalued compared to other masternode coins.

Rewards are ~10 INN per day and the market cap is still small.

I used to mess with Elite coin but just got rid of it as it pumped recently. Now I mainly have some MUE and Onions that I stake and have for a MN, I prefer the Onions as development is more active and so are the forums. But MUE provides solid passive income that has been there for me for the last 6 months plus.

Masternodes coin need minimum i will suggest you the strongest one. Its dash for strongest masternodes coin but it need much money to invest on its masternodes. Another alternative masternodes is bitsend and zerocoin. Next platform EON from exscudo also have masternodes features with minimum 25k EON.and for POS coin without minimum you can buy NEO and waves.

DEEPONION
OKCASH
PHORE
RADIUM

For masternodes altcoins I suggest you Dash if you have a lot of money, other masternodes coins are Dash forks like Pivx or MUE. Personally I prefer Proof of stake altcoins since it is more friendly and easier for newbies since you only have to buy the coins like NEO and keep in your wallet for staking and get reward based on your invesment. Ark and Lisk are proof of stake with delegate system so you will have to vote for delegates and they will pay you every week.

Here are some websites that list masternodes and their ROIs:

https://masternodes.pro/
http://mnrank.com/
https://masternodes.online/

Most of the highest roi coins will just be basic coins that don't have proper volume & attention. You should look trough the list, and invest in some where you are comfortable with the volume, m. cap, number of master nodes, master node cost, the price history, how active the project is(development & marketing), and anything else you can think of. You will probably be eliminating many of the very high roi coins, but you will be left with coins that will still return a good roi, and will not drop in price/will increase.

I thing that Dash is to expensive to play with master node in bear market.
Best thing are some small one that not even existed but have some plan how to rise.
Then with patince you will hit your pump of the week some time.

One of the cheapest masternode coin worth looking out for is Solaris (XLR). About 60% are already locked up as masternodes, POS is starting by April, Zerocoin implementation also coming by April. In addition, Txbit Exchange will be Solaris funded decentralized exchange where solaris owners will earn dividends/stakes from transactions done on Txbit.

It totally depends on which chain. The utility of the token and how the roi model is.
Rebellious gives the rebelliousmasternodes the possibility to run free masternodes for every chain they make!
And the rebeelious chain is different from ethereum, only rebellious customers are able to add to the rebellious chains.

Cause all chains are decentralized they will be very fast and stable!

POS and Master nodes are both good ways to have a passive income in crypto currency world. You just have to understand fully the way how both POS and master nodes work and know when to sell and not get too greedy. I would recommend you to research about BUZZCOIN, DIGIWAGE, MAGNET and DIXICOIN.

My favorite masternodes coin from top :
1. Dash : dash is the best masternodes coin and it is old and first PoS coin but you need 1000 dash minimum for making masternodes.
2. Bitsend : you need 2500 coin for 1 masternodes the techlnology almost similiar with dash.
3. Zero coin : the technology almost similiar with dash but its implemented with latest privacy tech.
4. Essentia : the ico is not start i dont know why. I am interesting to make 1 masternodes which required 100k ess. 1eth : 15k ess.
