It's very possible that you were talking to a scammer pretending to be a ico staff member.
Ussually all ICO's warn us to send the Eth only on the address mentioned on the website, and never send it to people who you talk on telegram.

You were very likely talking to a scammer. Unfortunately it is very easy to mimic individuals who appear to be ICO staff members. Due to that it's always best to only speak to ICO people in their official Telegram channel or other official communications.

now scammers create exact copies of the pages of admins and most importantly pay attention to the letters l and I, they are very easily substituted

Just ask in main group about that. Most probably it is scam. In most groups even mentioned something like that:  "will NEVER solicit payments via Telegram. The address for the sale and presale will only be published on the XXX website. XXX team team and XXX will NEVER pm you and ask for payment or share ETH address.". So yh, do not trust PM

An ICO admin will never ever make any special discount for anyone. Even if you buy a half of their tokens,  they could give you some extra,  but never a discount. It was a scammer,  stay away and report to the ICO team.

Be careful it may be a fraud, many are affected with such huge discounts. The admin will not ask you to send BTC, ETH (or any other) to any address except the one mentioned on the website.

Check their official website and find an official e mail address. ask him to send you an e-mail from their official e mail address. if he can he is probably really a team member but still it does not mean that he is not a scammer. Because it is very weird that he gave you an empty wallet address. very suspicious...

You may go on, if you want to be scammed. It's the classic way of scam. There are two options. The first one he is not a staff member, but just scammer. The second one is that the whole ICO is one big scam.

It's a scam and you definitely should not be involved in that project. No project will be able to offer a 75% discount to investors whose address has no transaction. Be cautious with your investment decision, do not rush to invest when it is an ambiguous opportunity.

I think this is a too suspicious scheme for investing. In general, it is better to avoid such projects that offer a discount of more than 50% because there is a high probability that they just want to raise money.

Come one man, why would any staff member give you a 75% discount. I mean that could be given to a popular angel investor, but why to you. Think about it, and you will know that either the guy is not a support staff or the tokens are just useless and he/she just wants to dump their tokens.

Sounds like a scam to me. I'd check with the main channel of the telegram group to make sure.

How you should believe that person this is digital world so many scam users are spread this special discount in ICO. We only aware of the crypto market so don't think these kind of special discount. This is your lesson suppose in future also some scam users are spread this type of discount you should avoid short term profit. It is the best way to protect your investment.

This is the classic case of scam, pretending to be an ICO team member & offering discount.
There are even fake telegram chat or channel being set up, and people got scammed by contributing to a fake address.
Beware also of all the fake twitter accounts, most of them are scamming the ignorant with the promise of airdrop.
