Lisk is getting close to breaking its ATH vs bitcoin. It could go on a big run ahead of its rebranding February 20th

Looks like the rebrand has been mostly priced in already to me.

buy the rumor and sell the news comes to mind. Price often slides a lot after such things are released, peoples expectations normally exceed the outcome.

I'm also waiting on February 20. I think that the price should still grow. But I do not want to sell until the end of the year. Maybe I'll sell 20%, I'll leave the rest in my portfolio.

You can say that again. LSK just took a nose dive. Lots of hype out there about it today.

I don't care about rebranding they are planning for, the project has greatly underperformed IMO, this is suppose to be an alternative to ethereum but IMO ICON and NEO have taken the front role it that regard, Lisk and ETC are two projects with huge market cap but nothing really to deliver for their huge valuation

LSK was already explode but there's more ofcourse expect a more pump before the event. Well this is my first coin to monitor regarding the event of re-branding I hope I spend some on LSK but no regrets. Best of luck for those holding LSK.

Wait hold the phone why is Lisk rebranding? I thought rebrands were done for a purpose or because of a debacle not just cause.. Can somebody enlighten me on this because as far as I know Lisk has been performing well and is in no need of a "shake-up".

I was thinking about exaclty the same.
Lisk has seen a nice, solid increase lately. Maybe a rebrand would indicate something, might be something "big", but after plenty of search, I still miss what could be behind it. If anyone knows, please enlighten me aswell!
Or maybe its just for pumping the price, but that would seem unprofessional.

My thoughts too. Lisk had been doing great in the past and even survived of going deeper on the major dip that happened weeks ago. Out of those altcoins on my portfolio, LSK  has been pumping eversince I bought it at $6 rate last September so I think there's no reason for it to rebrand.

I believe this expectation, but not totally, when we create a lot of expectation normally is not compatible and the market betrays us. In relation to the time of Lisk, I believe 2018 is your year. Remembering that is just my opinion.

It seems to be what happens far more often than not, it happened just recently with KNC as well, price dumped about 50% after their first mainnet release, for a variety of reasons but mostly down to peoples expectations exceeding the reality.

Lisk is great coin but I don't see it going any higher than $50 around these months. We are trapped in bear market, bulls keep pushing prices with buy orders but bears are stronger. Lisk is expensive, anyways.

I think rebrand is already priced in. Maybe 10-15% more until the announcement. People might dump even before the rebrand happens as they go with buy the rumor sell the news.

Lisk good coin which support java script and if we are a java script developer and blockchain supporter we must support this coin to be top 5 coin like ethereum did. After rebranding the price is not immadietly up but will wait for the good momentum or after the whale accumulate most of lisk. The rebranding is nice way to promote old coin. It will looked fresh. Probably a bad time to relaunch - right in the middle of a bear market! However, it does show that there is a lot of financial backing for this project and that the SDK will be released in just a few months time. The ICO fund is an exciting offer, good quality ICOs running on LISK is what will pump the price up later this year.

Analyzing this topic and the time it was posted, i believe that Lisk will show its potential only in July onwards, still have some updates to be made,also attract investors and that is the main point to be analyzed. In relation to the graph does not have what to comment the tendency is of downfall, depending on some fundamentalist news or high investments in the market.

Well, Lisk has been looking good ever since April last year really. With prices soaring from $0.2 from the start of that run up, it's now $20 in a steady, slow bull market. I do think that Lisk is probably a good side bet on Ether.

I mean anything that is rebranding related will attract a lot of potential investors. And Lisk is no exception.

Wouldn't be surprised if on the day of the rebranding there is some more hype attracted to Lisk because not all people know about this news yet. Buying now below $20 could prove to be very profitable.

If you drop again to $ 5-8 buy a little, but for now, just expect the growth, which you predict, but it is not visible in the near future. Yes, and this coin was created as an ether that is trying to overtake or frighten bitcoin, so Lisk tries to compete with the ether. Everyone is inclined to the forecast of 100 or even more dollars for a coin this year.
