I have kinda useless computers in my home, one of em have i5-3740 CPU and hashrate is 210 around. I think that is surprisingly good. Using 3 threads. Have GeForce GTX 660 in there but I cannot mine with that GPU, right? Also how can I activate overclock CPU? It's already in fast mode and I use nanopool, Claymore CPU one by the way. Thank you! I get around 450 with an i7 GTX970. I don’t think it’s worth overclocking though to be honest. Someone might tell you different though. Our of interest what are u mining and will it pay for itself? Just mining with CPU while sleeping and when I'm out, so that means my computers are mining XMR approx. 15 hrs in a day. Electric is low-cost in here, I live in Turkey now.
Started with ETN actually but switched it to XMR. I trust that project. Btw you have to consider the fact that when you overclock your cpu, it produces more heat so run the test to see how hot it becomes on 100% load. What motherboard do you use? Personally I wouldn't overclock cpu but if you want, do. It will be better if you google for your last answer. Let it run for an hour or so while it tests various algos and benchmarks. If Winminer can't use a GTX-660, then it really is junk (for crypto purposes).
