Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: fuzzyhair2 on September 18, 2013, 11:26:00 PM Hey you can build your own, you know. Just get a switching regulator of the same voltage and higher amperage. I'm not advertising, but I recommend you check out some electronics supply stores like Jameco or Mouser.
P.S. I'm a DIY guy so I would know :) Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: solareclipse64236 on September 18, 2013, 11:56:26 PM lolllllllllllllllll you are so wang then

Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: itsgoldbaby on September 22, 2013, 03:30:59 PM I received a power supply replacement from BFL about 4 days after they emailed me back, but unfortunately they didn't get back to me for about 7 days. This was for a BFL Single FPGA earlier in the year as well. They do honour the warranty but sometimes it takes a little waiting.

Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: ThomasDB on September 26, 2013, 06:44:34 AM First of all, you've actually received a product from bfl?
Regarding the power adapt. I'm sure you can just swap with something store bought. If not probably tons of electro-type shops that can help you out with something custom. Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: pontiacg5 on September 26, 2013, 05:33:34 PM whoa, what happened here? A noob can't find radio shack (for a barrel plug) and best buy (for a atx switching supply) Not much else, move along now :D Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: solareclipse64236 on September 26, 2013, 07:04:37 PM uh no moron
all you need is a power supply unit and the right pci adapter Title: Re: BFL POWER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT Post by: pontiacg5 on September 26, 2013, 07:13:06 PM I know nothing of BFL, assumed you needed a barrel plug from what someone else here said.
From some more looking it appears BFL singles use PCIe plugs. Therefore I revise my previous statement, just need to find a best buy and an ATX power supply. If you wern't such a moron you could have figured it out on your own. Aint you never seen a graphics card before? ::) |
