i bought a bunch it at $0.4 it yielded nicely but dropped in the past week. what would you recommend i'll do keep holding it or let it go with a small profit?

im thinking of investing some in cardano for longterm investment
i read a lot of positive feedbacks about this coin
and many pro traders put it in there top 10 list

You should read whitepaper and investigate. Cardano is not critical coin and it's more safe than 99% and have really good team and future. It's long term investment

Yes I think Cardano is a good coin for long term investment but you have to check first the whitepaper and road map before jumping on buying this coin. Cardano is known to be the ethereum of Japan as Neo is the ethereum of China.

I don't think you need to sell that coin right now! In my asset there are this coin and I keep it in the long run it will bring much profit! but you have to study this coin and make the decision yourself!

i won't tell you what to do NOW because i believe that wouldn't do you any good. what i will do is i will share my experience with you.

when you buy an altcoin like this and it "yields" a good profit you have to sell it. specially if that altcoin gave you that profit in a short time because that is a pump.
if you hesitated for any reason and didn't sell, you have to sell when you see the drop (past week as you say it has been dropping) which means while you are still in profit but lost the ATH.
if you wait any longer that means you just missed your whole opportunity and if you are repeating this same mistake then maybe trading is not for you.

It is a good speculative investment. Just like IOTA, EOS and all the other with huge promises, but nothing working yet.
It is a gamble. If you are already heavily invested in the working projects now, then it makes sense.

pretty agree it can turn either way for the moment it's all promises and those project want to replacce already existing project like Ethereum so it's a roll of dice, difficult to tell if they will achieve their roadmap at the current time

there is already a lot of talk about this coin, but what have they really done in fact? study the documents and make a decision based on them

It can be good for long term I guess, but I didn't buy it, I preferred invest to rlc, monetha and nebl for long term, you can do your own search about this three project also.

I've seen a lot of pro trader recommending it.

its true that cardano good for long term. Cardano were able to touch 1 dollar in the end of 2017 and i expect it will able to touch 1 dollar once again in few month. I do believe cardano is worthed to be consider as save investment for long term.

I invested in Cardano in October 2017 and I truly believe in this project. I think Cardano is long term investment project and I am planning to hold it at least until the end of 2018.

I read an article about the good future of altcoin, including the cardano. I personally hodl some of it. Don't worry my friend. You just gotta trust this coin, read their whitepaper for a backgroud of what they do. Just hodl your ADA tightly! It's for a long investment, you know.

When did you get in at $0.4? Before the Janaury pump? If yes then you must have sold some of it at or above $1.
Now is not the best time to sell atleast hold it till June-july month for a short term pump. But I recommend to hold for long term because POS is coming soon.

It wouldn't be smart to sell at a loss, so if you're looking for profits, wait until the next pump and sell it.

As of now, Cardano is an overvalued vaporware, it doesn't even have a finishing product so there's no reason to have a $10 billion market cap. Anyone buying in ADA is just buying dreams and hopes. If you want to hold it, either wait for another pump in the market to sell, or hold it until 2020 which is the date their roadmap states that everything should be done.

Experts believe that Cardano is great for long-term investments and it can be safely retained during this year, if the developers have no particular problems that could lead to a drop in the coin.     

Keep his time has not yet come, expectations for 2019 then in this attractive project will start to invest more people and accordingly you will see its real price.

I think I can just stand it now because it is now down drastically, fitting up again new sales in order to get a big profit

Cardano coin for me is a good investment and has the potential to grow it's market price value in the coming years due to it's stable performance in the crypto market. According to the article I just read, the CEO of Cardano is the previous CEO of Ethereum which we all know the 2nd  in rank of the cryptocurrency ranking which is next to bitcoin. There is no doubt for Cardano will soar high just like Ethereum in the future because the man behind this coin has the principle and skill to build a better currency, better blockchain technology that will surely succeed.

If you have interest in cardano, maybe you should check out Tezos. Tezos is a public chain as Cardano, but has much more advanced technolgy than cardano.

Thats horrible advice IMO.

You lock up capital PLUS take huge risk that it might not pump even close to previous highs. The project could easily fail due to the huge technical risks and then it won't pump at all.

Once it got an all time high and then drops eventually, it will take some time for it to recover and even break its highest price ever recorded. If you have the heart to HODL, then you will probably not sell it just for a small profit. Your HODLing ability will really be tested through this and if it goes deeper, your decision making will also be tested whether you will buy more or not. But i believe, Cardano is an elite alt coin (it's easy to get on the top 10 alts) and it will surely come back again.
