The idea

A website where vetted individuals would be listed with consent*. I will personally screen them, verifying that they have a portfolio of crypto assets, tokens, altcoins etc and are looking to diversify their portfolio by investing in up & coming crypto - related - projects.
Since there will be a paywall for the project owners to get access to this list, the number of scammy shitcoin proposals would be significantly reduced.

Initially, since I am not a code geek, the list would be generated manually and eventually a signup process would be implemented where getting 'listed' would be a  semi-automatic task.

Getting listed on the website would always be free. Once the investors and backers have signed up they would be given a personal profile. Which is where they would receive all the communications from the project owners.

There will be a dedicated forum and blog section which would be introduced at a later stage.


The Business Model

Project owners would be charged a subscription fee to get access to the list for a limited time where they would be allowed to connect with listed investors / backers within the website itself. At no point in time the real contact details of the investors / backers would be released to the public.

The list itself would be links to the profiles that each investor / backer would be creating. The number of profiles the project owners can connect with would also depend on the paid subscription that they choose.

Now, as you can see, all of this is still at the ideation stage. I just registered the website, the amount of investment into this website so far has been lower than $15 and I will be bootstrapping the rest of the amount required for the complete development of this site from my own income. I will be looking forward to the tips and suggestions that I can receive from the community to make this website successful.

About a year ago I started this thread : Online Courses for Blockchain tech (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1787336) back then I did not have the resources, time and momentum required to pull that project off, even though I tried. But since CryptoBackersList is gaining some traction, I want to include that old idea of building the 'Udemy for Cryptos' and make it a part of CryptoBackersList. More details on this would be updated soon.

Checked the website, looks like you just installed the CMS, you might have to work on it and put some details so people know what exactly they're getting into.

Also, is anyone a part of this group already? Why would someone pay for this when there are so many other groups available for free offering somewhat accurate signals in the market?

I think you did not read the details of what this website is actually. I am not selling any trading signals. This would be a vetted list of cryptocurrency investors.
Investors would join because only serious project developers would be allowed to access the list since there will be a paywall. This will weed out shitcoin developers.

Project owners would join because this would be a vetted list of high net worth individuals, angel investors, backers and advisors that would be able to support a new project financially.

Where is the list ? It's a simple website. Investors are going but themselves or you are listing them ?

The website is in development. The Domain is parked at an empty Wordpress site for the moment.
The access to the list would be based on a paid subscription.

Initially, the investors would be added by me manually. After it's established anyone that wants to stay on the list can stay or choose to disable incoming pitches or choose to opt out of the list completely. Getting enlisted will always be free but every investor would have to go through a vetting process to ensure that they are capitalists. Not just a random Tom.

The purpose of this post is to gather feedback from the community on what features they'd like to see in the site and so on.
