wow 850 Million raised just in presale? can you share the link and when will the ico start?

It is a few days old news but yes they raised $850 Million and iirc they are looking to launch ICO in March. https://www.coindesk.com/850-million-raised-in-ico-so-far-says-telegram/. They want to raise 1.2 Billion but you should read the whitepaper first it is not such a good product to put it lightly.

Excellent information, and it is seen that this ICo will give a lot to talk and potecnialemnete many gains to those who can invest in it, there have been cases in which people have achieved many gains by investing in good ICOs, hopefully this good results and profits to...

They said it would be free forever, but now they need money? you have at least 80 Million terrorists (potential users) to show them your ads and earn money, you don't need to collect money in ICO, would it be free after the ICO? if yes, how could you make any profits for your investors?

You could earn Millions with a product like telegram, ask for Bitcoin from advertisers.
As a *reputable merit source, I could vouch for your ICO, I just need a house and a wife with high salary of at least 10 hero members.

ICO is over, there is no profit gains, telegram is not a startup to beg for money in the form of an ICO, they could at least show ads on channels.

ummmm. Wow! yeah it's a huge money raised for a project with a not so good whitepaper.  :-\ ... Their blockchain is centralized!? Seriously!? It defeats the true purpose of blockchain. I don't see any good reason besides profit why those investors are giving this kind of huge money to a centralized blockchain ico. $1.2 Billion is damn huge! Why not raise that amount of money for a more useful project for example environmental protection and rehabilitation, organic food industry, alternative energy source, etc.  :-[

Telegram ICO will go down in history no doubt.  I'm sure they will raise insane amounts of money, maybe even hit the 1.2billion.

But what they will mostly go down in history for, is an example for the peak in the ICO bubble economy.
They will go down as strong warning that not everything needs blockchain, and that blockchain shouldn't be centralized.
They will be a case study on how massive amounts of greed pushed ICO markets past their breaking point and the dangers of wild speculative investing.

Listen, if you can't see that this is Telegram trying to ride the money train of ICOs then you are blinding your own thoughts by greed.
And if you think that it doesn't matter as long as you can flip it for a good profit than it is people like you that is making crypto so volatile.

By the way, it's been said before, but I'll say it again:
Their whitepaper sucks.

If he does, All planned it will be the largest ico in the history of cryptocurrency, because it is poured so much money,the project will definitely be worthwhile and very promising.

i will continue to say this...I would never spend more on an ico than I would on a weekend at the bars....that said, I will be throwing an eth or two at this one...is it gambling??...of course it is...will it do what it says it will do??...probably not...does that reduce the opportunity for profit??...sadly, no....if it misses, I will miss small...if it hits, I will hit big

Overhyped ICO which is going to be heavily manipulated by the whales all the time. What would you expect when there is so much money floating around? You can do everything you wish with almost a billion USD, why do they need another half a billion (I have not seen anything about $2B goal, I remember they were expecting to raise another $600 million on a public sale)?

In fact it is very unfortunate that now there is no opportunity to participate in the Telegram ICO project with a small amount of money. For many users participation in the project is possible only through pools of investors.

This ICO looks like the biggest scam in the history of ICO.
If you have $ 850 million, why should you conduct an ICO? With this money, you can create anything.
It seems to me that ICO will be held in order to sell tokens at an inflated price to small investors. Thus, large purses will ensure the break-even of their investments.

You know that there are no advertisements in Telegram and it is completely free, all these years it existed at the expense of its creator without bringing him anything tangible. For Telegram to exist further, he needs investments. And ICO is just a new way to raise money.

I also heard about this project, and it will be a revolution in the world of technology and crypto currency. Behind this project are great professionals, with a lot of experience, and who know their business. I will look forward to implementing the ideas that they offer.

There are two things I can say about the telegram ICO,
1. ICO has come to stay, if they are able to raise this ridiculous amount  in few days then ICO has come to stay.
2. Do this money come out of this space or it is just from traditional investors, if it is from crypto space this could be one of the reason why we have a dip in the price recently

currently recorded, the Telegram ICO, its the new invade in the cryptocurrence world of marketing that is taking over, waiting for the TON.

I wonder how much volume will be on the first day of listing and how many X price will make. All ordinary small investors will rush bying TON. I hope this year all the rumors about Telegram will dissapear and we will see it in reality.

Looking at their whitepaper also just making me unconvinced.

I also think that this is overhyped and I can't understand the reason for ICO.
It may be the most interesting ICO in the history but I still don't understand it..

I don't understand why they need a freaking 2 billions USD. This is too much for an ICO I guess. I'm not sure that this will pay off to investors...

TON would be remain as speculations,it will be just a rumour until telegram itself announced it,but i doubt because these news that are spreading are not so new to most of the people here,TELEGRAM doesnt have a secret ICO because ICOs are meant to be public so the community will have  a chance to get the tokens from an ICO,this surely a FUD do not be excited people until they have announced it .

Two days ago a friend sent me an article written by The Verge, where there's written that they are doing another pre-sale and they put an interesting document a "Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities". I don't know if I can post any link here, but if you're interested you can search the article on their site, the date is 2018/2/21

I hope this is the correct information. If this happens it will probably get a lot of support and I believe the ICO will succeed.
