Title: How to send to multiple addresses in one transaction?
Post by: 2048-bit on September 20, 2013, 09:15:40 PM
I want to send some bitcents to different addresses at the same time to reduce the transaction fee. How do I do this in Electrum?

You can't do this via the GUI. You have to use the console.

Here is how it can be done with Electrum GUI http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/13442/how-to-do-mass-payouts-in-my-application-to-multiple-addresses-at-once-or-very/13448#13448

Cool, I'll have to try that the next time I have multiple payments to send.

I really think this is something that should be built into the send tab, like it is in Bitcoin-Qt.

Thanks for that.

I agree.

Just used the feature as described in the link above giving a usability-nightmare like this into the "pay to" field:

Code:
1AddressOne, 0.67
1AddressTwo, 0.99
1AddressThree, 0.23

It works well, but it's cumbersome to use and more importantly impossible to discover from the gui.

it is not hard to find, since it is not a very common choice i think the location at this point - which is under tools>pay to many is appropriate and also the information on how to do it will pop up in a messagebox if you click on the option.

plus this problem (start of the topic) is for 3 years ago 2013
