Title: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: Shevek on July 18, 2011, 02:13:07 PM I'm running last bitcoind executable in Linux. But when I want to stop it
Code: bitcoind -stop I get error message: Bitcoin: Cannot obtain a lock on data directory /home/shevek/.bitcoin. Bitcoin is probably already running. Of course, it is running! :P Title: Re: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: samr7 on July 18, 2011, 02:21:39 PM I'm running last bitcoind executable in Linux. Title: Re: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: BitVapes on July 19, 2011, 11:03:59 PM I just added this to the wiki (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client) because when I first started using bitcoind I couldn't figure out how to stop it either without resorting to some googling and finding 'bitcoind stop' in a random thread from these forums.
by the way whoever posted this screenshot on the client page, nice brag. Am I 'jelly'? Yes, I am jelly. https://en.bitcoin.it/w/images/en/f/f9/Bitcoin_Original_Client.png Title: Re: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: riush on July 19, 2011, 11:22:15 PM I just added this to the wiki (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client) because when I first started using bitcoind I couldn't figure out how to stop it either without resorting to some googling and finding 'bitcoind stop' in a random thread from these forums. by the way whoever posted this screenshot on the client page, nice brag. The testnet has been reset a while ago (and probably will be again) so difficulty was 1 and it was *really* easy to generate :) Title: Re: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: TeraPool on July 20, 2011, 01:37:23 AM bitcoind 0.3.24 is puff daddy.
it can't be stopped, because it won't be stopped. Title: Re: bitcoind (0.3.24) can't be stopped Post by: BitVapes on July 20, 2011, 05:02:31 AM Those are testnet addresses.
