Title: NiceHash again opened
Post by: DBerendey on February 21, 2018, 09:33:13 AM
Hey, does someone mine through NiceHash mining pool which is opened again? Is it safe and trust at the moment?

I used it for a while before the breakdown, it worked fine. Profitability was a bit lower than average, but you had the convenience of a all-in-one solution.

I guess if you want to trust them now depends on your view of the "hack". Was it a hack and they improved their systems since, or was it an inside job?

I do - as soon as I hit minimum threshold (approx. $20) I transfer it (no fee) to coinbase.

price from a trust very expensive. after Nicehash has been hacked. some miners have been lost confidence and some money. although NH releases a new security system and tries to restore their trust. I believe when some miners back using NH, there has anxiety different if compare with NH before the hacked.

This page shows how many machines people are using on there, per algo:

https://www.nicehash.com/algorithm

So it looks like conservatively there's 500k machines running on there, and even each person had 10+ machines that means there's tens of thousands of people using it again.

Is it safe?  Probably more than some pools out there... Could it get hacked again?  Sure, but so can someplace that hasn't been hacked.

If you like what they offer, and their fees are acceptable for you, then you should use them.
