Title: PLUM Coin Announcement
Post by: upstateuni on February 21, 2018, 09:51:59 PM
(PLUM) Payment Layer for Unattended Merchandising.  This is primarily a research coin/tool/experiment at this point.  This ERC-20 Token is developed into a physical Hardware device for payment at locations without human(s).  Automated check-out, car-wash, laundromat, vending, toll booths and the like. Interesting parameters we wish to study are the free-market price discovery vs. tangible good(s) economics.

42MM total coins.  21MM in cold storage.  20MM in circulation

YES.  We've got the coin details up on http://42plums.com.  This is a unique project because it also has a physical hardware component.  You can find it on the web site.

The PLUM™ is an Ethereum ERC-20 Contract based token.  There are 42 Million PLUM™ coins minted, 21 million are in cold storage.  The remaining coins are in general circulation and used to pay for promoting and improving the project objectives.  The PLUM™ project also includes a hardware component consisting of a Circuit board with Single Board Computer (SBC) Raspberry Pi in this case used for unattended payment systems.  Board can be purchased here and the coins can be acquired at http://forkdelta.com.

We're trying to get listing on forkdelta.com so that we can get better price discovery.  Not just the coin, but the PLUM coin vs. goods and services represented by the physical hardware interface to vending machine(s) at this point.

I recently decided to get into the crypto market and purchased some PLUM Coins to get started. The process was fairly straight forward but my only criticism would be in the EtherDelta website. It was extremely slow and very buggy which caused a lot of issues for me being somewhat of a beginner in crypto currency. I tried searching for other options and found ForkDekta.com which was much more stable and very fast with transactions. So In my oppinon, Forkdelta is far more superior than EtherDelta and I would highly recommend it to anyone just starting out, as well as seasoned veterans, in the crypto currency markets.

In my opinion not bad at all! Even great. There isn't a giveaway of money, here people are asked to use the convenient service and get their bonuses. I think it's fair.

The only update we have at this point is that we are waiting on ForkDelta.com for listing.  Once we have a listing, the next step is to distribute(give away) the Plum coin along with the physical hardware.  Until we get price discovery, it's difficult to say if a PLUM coin will buy 1/10, 1, or 10 candy bars, or loads of laundry, or car washes, let alone the self check out variable items.  In summary we are waiting on an exchange for listing to get price discovery instead of setting some arbitrary value.

This video demonstrates the use of an ERC-20 token transaction for the purchase of tangible goods in an unattended environment.
