Title: Who is leading the Dogecoin Project?
Post by: XIntel on February 22, 2018, 02:59:25 AM
Hi,

Is the Dogecoin Foundation really no longer active? If that's the case, then who is leading the project?
There has to be someone or group handling the update and maintenance for the system.

Any updated website?

The original dev left the project long ago and touted it as a joke on MSM. From a technological perspective it's quite efficient though. And from a trading point of view it's been following predictable patterns for years.

After all these years I still find myself trading doge, just don't expect much development for doge.

for our little doggie there is not a defined project, the developers team left some time ago and now dogecoin is stuck, it keeps living only because of his fantastic community and it's low transaction fees that are still one of the best in the crypto market

since this coin has a large market and stable price at least IMO, I dont really care whos leading this project. IMHO this coin is just to be like this not even need development, the large community user and large market help it on stability.

The foundation fell over and broke a leg,so we shot it to put it out of its misery, this has always been a community effort, as such, the importance of people like jackson and billy, and indeed of the dev. team, is not what it is in commercial operations everybody is active, and working on. Leading dogecoin as you seem to suggest. Well thats not on anyones agenda, and never was.

To start from this old article https://www.coindesk.com/dogecoin-is-the-joke-that-wouldnt-die-finally-dying/ (https://www.coindesk.com/dogecoin-is-the-joke-that-wouldnt-die-finally-dying/), there you can find answer on headline question its ` And its three-person volunteer development team continues to keep tabs on the project`. If you take a look at the whole article you will find some good informations like this one `a group of people that together trade anywhere between $50,000 and more than $200,000 per day, data shows` and informations from coinmarketcap shows Volume (24h)  $6,479,660 USD, is that some rise!
Started as a joke, nothing has changed but this comment explained something, it really has some patterns, you can earn from trading with doge, not much but its possible.
