Post by: Fnrecana on February 22, 2018, 04:00:45 AM
I'm just curious about this. What do burn tokens are meant? What is it for and why tokens are being burned? Is it important to burn tokens? Hope some one can explain it propperly.

The majority of the time the excess tokens are burnt with the intention of increasing the value of the coin/token. If there is demand then the price of the token would increase because the burned tokens/coins are off the market.

Other times they burn excess tokens in ICOs because they did not sell all of the ones intended for the ico, or bounties etc.

To burn tokens they are removed from circulation, those token can never be accessed or used by anyone and it's being done to increase value because of limited availability.
