If you dont want to loose your post text, before you press "send" button, put your message to clipboard (ctrl + c)

Sound advice for newbies.  That's my opinion.  I got bit in the ass by this several times.

This will erase the message.

Now, I know it, but I lost several messages because of  that before.

Good advice. This can be very frustrating.

They should add a timer to the post screen, so people can tell how long they have to wait.

I ctrl + c ALL my posts before posting. The 360 second thing is pretty annoying.

Once you make 16 posts the timer drops down to 74 seconds.

It's activity , not posts.

Ok.  Thanks for clarifying.  So that means replies to posts too?

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

Interesting.  I didn't know about the difference between posts and replies.  The first time I posted it gave me an error message and said to try again later.  I tried to day and was able to post.  Then I tried just a little while later and it let me then also.  Hmm.  Let's see if this goes through... CTRL+C
