Title: ETC fork
Post by: europayio on February 22, 2018, 07:33:29 AM
As a write this we are at block height 5431176
Recently ETC reached 4120 sats - where can it go before the fork?
4900 - my original sell point- seems unrealistic.
What might be a realistic dump? 50%?
Plus, anyone know Binance's position on the fork?

I think people realised there will be no free money with the fork, because it is 1:1 ratio with the airdropped coin's total supply being like 10x higher than ETC. That is why i don't think it will rise any more.

Well, you get tokens for free. no matter what their value will be, a token holder always earns money. Even a few bucks count.

I don't know why people keep betting big on this ETC airdrop, for me I don't see the price as high as that of ETC when it hit the market and when one look at the history of most of this airdrop, it is always better to pick them up on exchange because there would be a significant correction in price after the airdrop

It's expected to be in 10-12 days.

I think 49K satoshi BEFORE the fork is possible because people are overhyped now. But my guess is that a huge dump will follow.

For example when was IGNIS airdrop for NXT holders - NXT growed up to >10k sat and then (right after block that is needed for free IGNIS) was dumped to 3300 sat (~70%).

Which coin will be airdropped?

Don't see many interests on ETC fork atm. Maybe they need better roadmap laid out this year to reignite the fomo. But its price should goes up this year, alongside perhaps iconx and startis too

A 1:1 with 10x more supply than what it forked from?
I'll pass

Any fork cause genuine interest in making a profit. And it does not matter whether this fork is another dump or a serious project, from free coins hardly anyone refuse.
