We're not really in a much different place now other then that bitcoin has been tested since then, and we have more exchanges..... And previously, just after Mt Gox opened, late 2010, $0.06 to $0.3 (50x). Wouldn't surprise me at all either. I'm of the view Bitcoin is still in its infancy and is comparable to the internet and Windows 3.1 in 1993 compared to today's internet and Windows 7.
