Doubt there will be anyone in Lagos that is interested in filling this loan and taking gold as collateral, that also has a $700+ piece of equipment to test out the authenticity of the gold pieces. Just a quick search shows that there are indeed pawn shops in Lagos: http://www.cashdown.com.ng/most-wanted/ and https://etmoneyshop.com/. Apparently you will also need your proof of ownership of the gold pieces, but if you do have them then you should be able to get a loan from a local pawn shop with that as collateral quite easily.
