Just came to my mind today. What are the things that could end bitcoin's life? What are the threats that bitcoin could face? Are there famous people who want to end bitcoins aside from the government officials? And how can we avoid and survive those?

There are two endings for me for bitcoin.

- The end of hope for it to succeed in the grand vision and change the world as we know it.
- The price reaching 0

The first one can happen for a number of reasons, most obvious is a global attack on bitcoin from all governments or corporations. Alternatively it could come in the form of some major technical failure.

The second one will almost certainly never happen because some people will always believe in bitcoin.

Extreme government regulation, and miss management of the technology. Bitcoin dint come from no where, there are people managing it. One bad update could make people lose confidence in it. As an individual if you want to "avoid" the end then dont use it for illegal activities. Because that's how regulators justify regulating it. Some regulations are good but, unfair regulations could make it difficult to use it.

Bro, do not think about that at the moment. The popularity of bitcoin and crypto currency, only gaining momentum, not taking into account the situation on the market at the moment. Just live here and now.  ;)  :)

It's being said that when there is a will, there's always a way.
If Bitcoin would have to die, it has already died more than 100s of times when everybody FUD about it during crashes (take the latest 20k-to-7k crash).
I believe, something that possesses a value due to its nature can never die. Bitcoin's nature is to let everyone transact within few seconds and keep the transaction to themselves without involving any third parties. If we still continue its use as P2P (but keep records of each transaction in case any problems arise from Gov's end), I don't think it will ever end. Not at least for the next 100 years TBH. Bitcoin and Blockchain technology are something we have always been in search of, and when it is people who has taken the authority to run/ruin it, Governments or those famous people cannot do anything but spit out negativity off their mouth to stop people from conducting such trades. Do you really think people will stop? Can they ban INTERNET?

We can avoid the end of bitcoin by developing it more and more in the time that is yet to come. In addition to this the use of bitcoin must be increased a lot otherwise there wont be any reason for the existence of the bitcoin. I am pretty sure that big personalities who dont want bitcoin into existence will always point out these two things in the long run and thus will make it look like worst. I mean development is very important aspect for the bitcoin now a days because that is what decides the ultimate use of the bitcoin. The more the use of it the more chances that it will survive.

Not thinking about your future is not the best course of action, is it? We all hope for the best but you have to always consider your eventual exit strategies, because if the market does crash eventually, you will not be able to wish it away.

Bitcoin can stop the disappearance and disconnection of the Internet around the world. Also, the largest investors and holders of bitcoins can keep secret the date when they start selling their bitcoins and it will be a bubble burst. Well, the government can destroy bitcoin by mass regulation.

You came with those weird questions, what made you think of such things? I'm curious!

I think that one of the important reasons why bitcoin can come to its end is a very large increase in its price. The greater the price of bitcoin, the more it will be exposed to the risk of depreciation. People understand that bitcoin is not provided with anything, in principle, it is not regulated by anyone and no one is responsible for it, and therefore they will always be subconsciously afraid to lose their savings in it. Therefore, as soon as the rumor spreads that bitcoin will burst like a bubble and depreciate, people in a panic will start selling it, because of this, bitcoin will start to drop in price and this will trigger a chain reaction due to which it can completely depreciate. Sooner or later this will happen, so always remember this and be prepared for the worst.

As for me, i no reason why any so called powerful man would want to end Bitcoin, besides that Bitcoin's survival totally depends on how it thrives in the market...

Nothing an end bitcoin. Any band news, rumor or whales can only affect bitcoin in short time and cause some people to avoid bitcoin. The technology bitcoin cause it to exist forever.

I do not agree with you. Nothing is impossible. The current crypto market is very hot and nothing can stop them. But in the future, there will be a lot of fraudulent ICO projects formed to make a profit from people who believe in the crypto market.
So I advise you to be careful when working in the crypto market. Be wary because the number of scam projects is growing. Bitcoin will also be affected by the discredited scam projects.

Bitcoin will never reach 0 and nobody can "kill" this cryptocurrency. There is still a lot of whales that will support it and that want to make good profit on bitcoin trading. Even if a lot of FUD would happen and bicoin reached a bottom price several thousands of dollars, it will always recover. Bitcoin won't end because just too many people believe in it.

I don't think that bitcoin will ends, it possible if the value was zero or shutdown the server but it never gonna happen. In fact, there are not a few factors that can destroy the Bikkin, now I will list them:

1. Actions by states.
2. Occurrence of alternative crypto currency.
3. Actions of hackers.
4. The presence of a critical error.

Bitcoin currently faces some issues such as long-time trading, high transaction costs compared to the cryptocurrencies market. Bitcoin has now failed to become an official currency used in every transaction because people think Bitcoin as an asset to hold and sell when the rate rises. So improving Bitcoin is the thing to do now to avoid the end of Bitcoin.

for example a scandal can happen in a part of world and the governments find that the responsible party for this scandal has laundered money with btc and decides to ban btc and apply high punishment who is using it. That may reduce the value of it significantly

I can't think of anything that can stop bitcoin for now. People love bitcoin as much as they love them self.

You can't do anything to prevent it, really, and there will likely never be a way to actually stop Bitcoin from dying in the normal sense. There will always be something trying to edge Bitcoin into a death spiral and there's nothing that can be done about something like that other than continuing to do what you do already and encouraging others to do the same. bitcoin only dies when everyone else abandons it as well.

      In my belief,there is no permanent in this world everthing has an end but we can't tell and nobody knows if when. Like bitcoins,it become famous, and most valuable digital currency at this moment. But we don't know if untill when it will become famous and valuable,we don't know untill when it will survive from the manipulation of government and some big whales in crypto. But for me,we have nothing to do but to enjoy what bitcoin can bring into our life,continue to use it to make it more valuable and to increase the demand. Because i know it will helps the bitcoin to live more.

I never think the end of bitcoin because the popularity is still there.There are many people still love and interested in investing bitcoin so i think no one can stop bitcoin except the government.

Perhaps if one of the big banks bring out a currency that is widely accepted and used that could replace Bitcoin and other coins eventually.  I'm surprised one of the banks hasn't brought one out already or maybe they have. 

the bitcoin end will be avoided if someone else warn the bitcoin to break the Tv of bad news about bitcoin and stop them posting social media that is bad about bitcoin, as they affect the user and investor of bitcoin especially the investors who are afraid to invest because of fear.

The greatest threat would be people losing hops to Bitcoin. Without the demand, the value would drop tremendously. With all the issues faced by Bitcoin, it is definitely in crisis right now.

I think if the Government did not interfere in bitcoin that time bitcoin increase very fast but that time bitcoin can come to an end because not only investor invest in it although all the person want to purchase bitcoin for earn profit or if the bitcoins do not increase his value that time investor does not invest money because they want only profit so. slow or fast increase value of bitcoin come to an end. If the bitcoin rate increases normal speed that time its life is safe.

There are powerful and influential people who's interests doesn't go well with the success Bitcoin has had overtime. they therefore will do anything within their powers to bring it down, from giving negative opinion to influencing certain activities that may down grade BTC, government regulation and the continuous use of BTC in the dark web, are also threats to BTC.

bitcoin has been tested from the first present to date. it has been many times the government and banks want to banish bitcoin. but until recently, bitcoin still survives even more famous and becomes very big. do you still doubt it?

How to avoid bitcoin's end? I think the only way that bitcoin would end is if no one Invest bitcoins anymore or the pricing of the bitcoin reaches 0 that is how the bitcoin would end its reign. tbh there is no permanent in this world everything in our world is replaceable even thou the bitcoin is secured it could still encounter problems and might shut bitcoin down. But as for now Let's just hope that it would still go on and keep on continuing to rise above.  ;D

I think the first thing to do is not to spread bitcoin rumors, followed by people to promote the benefits of Bitcoin, so that more people recognize Bitcoin.

The community of bitcoins is very strong, although there are such players who can affect the price of bitcoin, people will still support it and believe in it and the blockchain techology. It's too early to think that bitcoin will not be mined.

I do think that if there are still people supporting it and holding strong it won't end and eventually rise.

Well that senario that you mentioned about is certainly possible but you should know that.. anything doesn't end that abruptly it takes time.. slowly it.. ends..

Also when we think... About it.. if.. the big whales sold off everything then the price might drop too much and people might panic sell. That might cause it to end ...

We need to promote blockchain technology and criptocurrency to enhance its influence on world population. The more people will be part of criptocurrency community the more easy it will be to promote criptocurrency (including BTC) and its application in everyday life

In order not to end, people should buy and sell bitcoin and that there is no situation when he simply keeps himself in the stock exchange untouched.

I don't think bitcoin may end in this century for as long people would still be active with bitcoin either trading, investment and other transactions in the cryptocurrency market, this will continue to live. Maybe for some other countries which bitcoin has been ban but for the rest of the world, this will continue to soar as this gives opportunity to people to make decent profit from their investments and for some, earn profit even for not having an investment like having joined with the signature campaign.

I think it's hard for bitcoin to die right now. We need to worry about the development of bitcoin. We need to increase the popularity of bitcoin so that more people can understand and participate in bitcoins.

We can avoid bitcoin's end if:
-we do not use bitcoin in illegal ways or use it to do crime.
-everyone will not stop investing and using bitcoin.
-and if we'll not stop supporting bitcoin.

We can avoid btc's end if we first give more value to it. If more people joined btc and invest on it then everything is in cycle. Every generation, if you teach your friends or family and they teaches others too, that would be a big help for btc. Everyday its price goes up then goes down, but I never think btc will reach the price of zero or will lost its value. That's never going to happen if we manage to support btc and avoid making fraud coins.

I am also sure that there will be always those people, who trust Bitcoin and believe that this is the best and the most powerful cryptocurrency. I suppose that the main thing that can prevent BTC end in our positive way of thinking.

It totally depends on the public to promote or degrade any person or a product. Same is the condition for bitcoin, if people from all backgrounds and professions start using bitcoin and involving it into their daily routine, there is no way for bitcoin to disappear from the market forever.

At present the issue is that many people are not aware of blockchain technology, may be if they knew about it, they would have been using bitcoin.
