Title: was so happy when it was at 14.7
Post by: pennytrader on July 19, 2011, 04:08:22 AM
It dropped so quickly and I didn't have time to sell as I was in the gym.

Well. There will always be a pop next time

You sound as if it'll never reach 14.7 again. Most likely you'll see it pass that again within the next 24 hours.

I sold at 14.6, waiting for the market to drop again so I can rebuy.  What does surprise me is how quickly the market dropped back.  Currently at $13.70.  I was prepared to wait until the weekend to buy again.

One thing I learned from stock trading is quick drop is usually not a good thing (usually it's an indicator for entering a short position). I do want it to reach 14.7 again so I can sell my BTCs into. Yes, USD will be massively inflated but nobody knows for sure how inflated BTC is currently (you can also argue how deflated BTC is).

Are you sure?

No, I'm not sure that it will reach 14.7 within 24 hours of that post.

I am quite sure it will reach 14.7 again before the end of this rally. :)

I think we'll see slower, but steady growth as the economy expands.  New businesses inspired by the last big rally are just now starting to come online.  The movement in and out of fiat is being smoothed, but it still has many rough edges.  Patience will win the race.  When mtgox fees come back into effect for everyone there will be less liquidity and wider swings, but as competition drives fees down a good level will be found.  Mtgox will lose a major advantage for a lot of traders unless they keep 0 fee trading as a subscription fee.  I would prefer not to have that unless the price remains low enough that even the small guys can get in.
