My top 5 alts for 2018, expect lots of growth (not including BTC, ETH)

NEO: top blockchain project from China with more than 100 ICOs launching this year, will only get bigger.

NANO: you gotta use it to believe it. Makes Litecoin look like a turtle, and no transaction fees. IOS and android wallets, plus you can use Nano on Twitch live game streaming video platform.

WANCHAIN (coming to exchanges): will be a good competitor among NEO & ETH. Will also launch ICOs on its platform.

ICON/ICX: top, huge blockchain project from Korea, with a very big team and smartest people in Korea working on it, with a mission to hypperconnect the world.

OMISEGO: THE top project on the Ethereum blockchain. Vitalik said when he's done with Ethereum, he will be with the OmiseGo team full time, he really believes in their mission to bank the unbanked. Recently got a partnership with the government of Thailand.

EOS could be on this list, I just hate the fact that they're grabbing $1 billion for their never ending ICO.

Omisego and nano will be the best performers in 2018, I do not think neo can rise a lot in 2018. There are many excellent coins, if one diversify, hard to lose in the long term.

it looks like it's a very good coin dev, and has great potential in the future. I will hold some of those coins for long-term investments. because the coin looks very promising for the year 2018.

I'd definitely include NEO in my top 5 alts for this year because of the community that backs it up. Chinese community cannot be underestimated and if they support a specific coin, you should follow through. They treat NEO as ETH for their people so this pick is a no-brainer.

Waves also is included in my top 5 picks because of how their team is so dedicated to this project and how they are working hard for this to be a successful one. Yes, its price has come down so much lately and some investors who bought at its ATH are pissed off but that's how just the market works. I only see this an opportunity right now to buy more at cheap price.  

I'm also looking to buy Dash this year and stack it up.

I agree with NEO,OMISEGO and EOS.  I would add to this list of 5 alts STRATIS and ZRX. Great projects, but low promotion.

Great list. I hold all of them except for Wanchain, really missed that boat!  :-\ Will definitely be getting them after they launch on an exchange.

All those coins are already pumped to the stratosphere, they cannot go another 20, 30 or even 100x.

If you want to find the best performers for 2018 you'll need to look for coins with much lower market cap.

NEO = a lot of ICOs are upcoming built on NEO this year.
IOTA = will change the way we live and they already have some hugh players partnered up with them.
STEEM = d.tube, dmania, dlive, steemit, dsound etc. their community is growing with extremely fast and more and more content creator from every area start to use it.
MATRIX (MAN) = This thing is not in the top 100 yet, but its going to be a game changer in terms of platforms. What they are going to archive is a whole different level. 1M Tx/s, AI included in their blockchain which doesnt require programing skills because smart contracts will be build via natural language & the blockchain evolves which means there wont be forks necessary since the blockchain always adapts. From all I have seen Matrix is something extremely special.
Oyster (PRL/SHL) = Again something very unique with a very impressive and hard working team. Especially with their 2nd token (Oyster Shell) which will airdrop in april, they have 2 very great projects.

I think all of your choices are good except for Nano. Wanchain will be invaluable when listed on the good exchanges. Eos 2018 will realize the decentralized exchange at the end of the year.

Great list and info. I have been following all but OMISEGO. I will include that to my list. I am also checking out small cap cheap tokens with some huge potential like Telcoin.. I know that is completely a different coin.
 

Watching what goals you pursue from coins and for how long. For me, let's say the best five is dash, neo, wave, monero and ardor if you do not look at the price. After all, in a coin, the price is not the main indicator, but the main thing is its road map and how the promotion is going on in the market.

Great list, i would add some new project to the list - credits offers the own blockchain with fastest transactions - 1,000,000 per second. And one important point - credits is the first fully autonomous system, so it will work without any intervention. The launch of the network we will see in  june and i hope it will be good start!

Nice list, I would probably go with privacy coins this year.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I think this year will be generally good for all kriptornka. In my portfolio, I expect particularly high growth from BTC and ETH, as well as ADA, WINGS, TRON,OAX

This is my list(with reasons):-

Vechain - Bringing the supply chain management on the blockchain. Supply Chain Management is something that'll not end as long as the companies in the world offer goods and services to the customers. Expect this coin to grow in the future.

Monero - This coin overcame some of the limitations or rather enhances the privacy and scalability that most altcoins and even bitcoin does not offer. There's the reason darkweb is craving for this coin.

Neo/ethereum - Both are same in a lot of ways. Neo, also known as ethereum of China, is a project that offers Smart contracts, decentralized apps(DAPPS).

Litecoin - Less hash block generation time(2.5 minutes) so faster transactions. Fees is nominal. Less  supply, so has the ability to shoot up in the future.

Good choice! I have in my portfolio all these coins, except OMISEGO. Maybe I'm wrong and I should buy it, but something stops.

Neo and Omise look like good projects, but I am not so sure about others. Nano exploded already and I agree that what they say looks great, but how can we be sure it really works this way and and coin is secure? If there's no difficulty in creating a transaction then maybe it is also very easy to hack? I am even less sure about wanchain. The team is nice and educated, but I am not sure the project can really compete with current giants.
As for icon - I am not against South Koreans, but their government is terrible and made the market suffer for a couple of time already. The coins might be great but end up being banned or something, so I would say it is a risky investment because of this.

Normally when people post lists like this, I find myself disagreeing with a lot of their choices. This one is a change, I agree with everything you've listed!

Agree with these positions, but also want to add that TEZOS (which is not distributed yet) will also be a great competitor for ETH/NEO. Interesting who will win - EOS or TEZOS  :)

Yes a good list above, I may consider waves, neo and icx are my top choice alts. I agree these coins would probably go higher its value this year 2018. Such a very patience trader if you are holding neo for 2years now so for that observing the market is necessary.

Good list from the OP, lots of good coins that are sure to rise. I would put the majority into NEO which is the safest bet and on track to match or overthrow ethereum. Lots of ICOs and you can earn GAS just from holding it. 2 coins for the price of one makes it a more attractive investment than the other coins, but all are good really.

I think Stellar is good altcoin . In 2018 there are many ICO
on the stellar platform.

The top priority for my investment in 2018 is bitcoin or ETH , ICO . I probably spent the most investment is still the bitcoin . I join the bitcoin has also been a long time and it gave me a lot of very profitable as well. So I will invest in that case changes and difficult bitcoin .

Good choice but OMG, neo and EOS have already pumped.
I prefer now to buy cheap coins with low capitalization and perspectiv product. They can make you a good profits.

Like most people, I have NEO investment..Still unable to make the desired output..Despite everything I will continue to keep..NANO (formerly RaiBlocks) is a coin that surprises me..It's going well..I have never been interested in others because of the high supply..I hope it brings good.

I think effect.ai will be an awesome pick for 2018. There will be an ICO of a total of 14.82 million euro. Which means it is a small marketcap coin with alot of grow potential. Also they will be competing with amazon with their decentralised "mechenical turk" software. I have been whitelisted for the ICO and am going to contribute some NEO to it. I believe in the team too, they are Dutch people :)

I am surprised not to see Litecoin anywhere on this list. With several threads rumoring a $1000 moon at point this year, I am keeping it higher on my list.

Very excited to see where NEO goes this year. So many ICOs should generate a lot of demand. Also excited to see more projects on XLM.

I'm still looking for some solid altcoins to be my top 5 alts for this year but many of them have the potential to make a significant growth this year. I'm already holding ethereum, ripple and litecoin for long term and I might add some coins later like neo and cardano. Neo is considered by some coin analysts as ethereum of China because they both use smart contracts feature.

Very very accurate and awesome list. All coins counted in list have great potential to fill. I am buying especially more neo as I still believe asian hype in crypto. Eos is problematic, I also agree.. Add wabi, too.

As of now, I am holding CND, GLA, ETH, XLM and TRX, and a lot more, why holding only 5 if you can hold more of them :) Better than expecting nothing, this crypto is like a game, the more you hold, the more chances of winning.

Also I think that utrust should be inserted. If the agreement with amazon of which some blogs spoke, then utrust is the top coin for 2018

My top 5 this year is,

ETN - Electroneum, It has been a big boost to their mobile mining industry, which lets you earn electrons from your Android phone.

Utrust - Many people say this is the paypal replacement. Because of the same as paypal (Payment Platform)

Copytrack - Because of their unique platform to protect Photographers not to steal their works, this is a good vision because the copytrack has a working experience well since 2015, correct me if I'm wrong.

Atlant - I was with her Campaign when I was new to crypto currency. They are a good platform for paying ATL tokens for real estate property purchases. My problem is just that their token distribution, But I support it and if they continue their platform I will buy a real state property using my tokens.

Providence - Their tokens are not yet exchanges but I have supported them. Perhaps in April-May they will release their platform and start their casino business that lets us use our Providence tokens in exchange for chips.

This is the same reason that I don't like EOS. Fair enough it may be a good project, but the style of the ICO seems like a bit of a money grab. I am staying away at the moment. There are plenty of other good projects to follow instead.

Did u see the NEO FUD on Twitter, it is getting bashed at the moment. There is somehow truth in the FUD.

Hodl Vechain and one will be rich in two years. ICX is good. I would say EOS will get u some good long term profits too.

I think NEO and EOS have big potential to give profits for you, the three other coin are. Also ahve possible to increase their price but sloly grow up that's only my observation but hopefully your choices become successful.

Omg was successful in their Ico so I believe their is a future on this coin. If you are holding too long in Omg why not add in your portfolio like eth and neo. These could give you a profit along with omg and it is the best coins these days for me.
