Title: Betcoin fraud... This is just getting ridiculous
Post by: SatoshiDICE_PR on September 25, 2013, 10:26:09 PM
People have been posting the last couple days about Betcoin and their scummy, fraudulent behavior.

And now we have this gem: http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/1489274 (http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/1489274)

This is just getting ridiculous... Come on Betcoin, only two days after we reveal that you ripped our verbatim Terms and Conditions from SatoshiDICE (not to mention stole all the other copy as well) and are proven to be faking bets on your own site and likely DDoSing your competitors, you pay for a press release titled, "Shift to Ethical Bitcoin Gaming - BetCoin ™ Leads the Charge Towards Responsible Gambling Adoption by Bitcoin Casinos"

The best part...

A recent phone conversation with Emily Flitter of Reuters confirmed that BetCoin ™ Dice and BetCoin ™ Circle are both working very hard to ensure full compliance to their terms and conditions, and the relevant legal regulations, and to guide their customers in the direction of responsible gaming, as BetCoin ™ aims to help educate its players as well as entertain them. A senior spokesman responded to Emily's concerns, "Some other bitcoin gambling sites unfortunately do not have terms and conditions

Betcoin copy and pasted SatoshiDICE's T&C's as their own, and then puts out that press release?  :D  Betcoin's T&C's: http://imgur.com/32cMiHl  (see the exact same at SatoshiDice, plus most of the site copy)

BetCoin ™ is further securing their place at the top of the bitcoin online casino market, all the while continuing to promote responsible gaming and bitcoin education in general.

This is amazing  :P

I'm pretty sure they found out about Bitcoin about 2 weeks before they released. You can tell they have no idea how the community around here works etc.

So bad

Why would I trust a vice dealer in the first place? Gambling games are not "games", they are systems to transfer your money to the house.

haha, good one.
It should be pretty embarrassing to them though!
Like, they copied EVERYTHING off SD.

Fraud indeed and I have screenshots to show you all... I see they have advertisements on this forum. Can we petition that they be removed? I know they paid for space, but I don't feel that this community should embrace a known scam site.

Someone please advise how to upload photos to post.

Upload to imgur and post the url - I sort of dislike inline photos, will click if explained as relevant.

1. Go to http://imgur.com/ and upload the image
2. Copy paste the "forum BBCode" from the sidebar on imgur to the forum and make a post.

Making good on my promise.

I have dozens of pics, but I choose this one to post first to hopefully spark a little interest in this thread.

Background info on this game:
During this game play, it was just myself and another Alias spinning the wheel. But it wasn't until after I lost an excessive amount of coins and exited the game, that I realized the Alias I was losing spin to was out-spinning me! I'm no techie but maybe some of you might have an explanation of how this is possible.

Do you see what's wrong with this picture?

https://i.imgur.com/qXVWQEL.png

Oh, I suppose I should mention that the 2x spinner joined the game so the spin master Alias wouldn't have to be alone. I'd also like to mention this player (although never spins anything more than what it's spinning), just happens to be a Diamond player and have won 50 and 30BTC in the last two monthly drawings. Enough about that, monthly drawings will be another post.

What's wrong with the picture: Their bot spins several times per second.

I've noticed that their lottery have a one user that always buys 1,000 tickets outright, even if he's the only player. That is irrational as that would mean negative profits even if he wins them all, due to house edge.

I suspect that it's actually a 'house bet' and that they are circumvening provably fair with these scummy bets.

It's provably fair still, but it's suspected that they're placing bets themselves, sometimes thousands of entries, so that they have more of an edge. At least that's what I deduced from this thread so far.

They are getting further downgraded this week.. This company has turned into a headache and extremely disappointed especially with the new management in place to fix past disputes we have on file. They however seem to be interested in more advertising opportunities.

C- now not sure what to say considering they once held that ultimate rating. Guess will consider further downgrade if more folks file complaints.

Betcoin Sports (http://bitcoinreviewer.com/betcoin-sports-review/) (4.2 star rating on Bitcoin Reviewer) is not affiliated with Betcoin.tm. They are a honest sportsbook company.

casinobitco.in is a legitimate sportsbook.  Folks should not get the "TM" brand confused with the sports betting brand we will be publishing an article regarding betcoin"TM" soon enough for those interested in reaching out to the owners/investors of the particular brand.

Khanatran is on 2 plus 2 a well known forum member who supports almost every online site. When he posted that betcoin was shady and to stay away I insta withdrew about 3 months ago or so. Pretty scummy in regard to  their casino though I have never been one to patronize online casinos. Very unprofessional in grindabit forum where they have a thread. Looked so promising in the beginning turning out to be shady like almost all the bitcoin gambling sites  other then swc.

Betcoin has/had 5.49 bitcoin of mine (used for sports betting) and it has up and disappeared.

I have tried talking to customer support for over a week now and they are completely stonewalling me.  This has to be a huge scam site.  I've been on many Bitcoin Sportsbooks and never had an issue until this one with Betcoin.  Maybe they will respond to a post on the forum as their customer support is basically non existent.

Stay away!

Maybe this post will at least get someones attention there...

Responsible GAMBLING PROMOTING... WHAT... You can lose 100BTC in 10 seconds! (not sure that is promoting responsibility!)

Responsibility would be added by putting things like CAPTCHAs in so people respect their money more!
