It was an older computer and I did not expect much. I do mine (pool mining) with a quad core, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz. I get 110H/s to 135H/s with it. I only mine for fun and the hopes that someday what I mine will moon. If you are trying to make money you will want to at least do GPU mining but you need a very fast video card. I have been mining off and on for several weeks and have earned about $6.00USD.
If you really want to, you can mine BCN, XMR, XDN just to name a few. I get about 10 BCN a day with the 120H/s. There are a few places to pool mine. I use minergate and have not really looked into others (you may want to do that).
