That’s just two lines he said and it means nothing in front of the giant network of bitcoin or blockchain as whole. Why worry about it if it is coming out of thin air. The bitcoin has wide spread its roots and it going no where. We could have said that bitcoin is going down if few of the biggest investors in crypto were supposed to be going out of the crypto world. This is important because they are the one who hold the power by backing the market for bitcoin.  However none of them are moving anywhere and it’s all about the public decision I belive. Nothing relates to single guy with virtual power. That’s what I think about it.  :D

I do not know if you're just sarcastic or you really mean that one man represents BTC?Power of BTC is in people, not in some greedy Chinese and his buddy Reger Ver.If something is ending it is BitcoinCash,Segwit&Lightning Network will send BCH in the dark expanse of cryptocurrency.

Warren Buffet is last man in universe to say anything about BTC,he is just old man captured in some past time.Time for him and his followers is almost run out.

Folks, the end is near.

Sell Bitcoin and buy Gold and Silver. Your money is safe for next 100 years. Gold is $1350/ounce and Silver $17/ounce  :)

You are kidding right? This is what I have to you, and Jihan Wu as a response:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/original-pizza-day-purchaser-does-it-again-with-bitcoin-lightning-network

Laszlo Hanyecz, the man who bot two pizzas for 10.000 bitcoins back in 2010, decided to buy two more pizzas, this time for 0.00649 bitcoins, using the lightning network. I do believe that history will "repeat itself" again, and in a few years for now, those two pizzas will end up being incredibly expensive pizzas.

The future for bitcoin is bright, lightning network is evolving, and bitcoin will find it's way as a payment method.

Yes. He wants to demonstrate his power. His power to manipulate and speculate. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Well, I don't think that the future bitcoin looks not good. Lightning Networks will help the bitcoin to become more successful that ethereum. And it is possible that bitcoin has a future than what Jihan Wu said. Of course, he said that in order to pull out people from bitcoin. Speculation always scare the people, that's why there are numerous panic sellers.

If it's going to end it should have ended three or two years ago but everything satoshi created is still here and so many forks happens and still going to happen, no Bitcoin is not going to die, it will just evolve until it is perfected and working flawlessly.

There was an article a few days ago saying Bitmain was worth billions. See

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/23/secretive-chinese-bitcoin-mining-company-may-have-made-as-much-money-as-nvidia-last-year.html

They think it made a $3 billion operating profit in 2017, which is stunning really.

Yes there are some conflicts within community here and there but this is the problem of what decentralization brings us. We don't have  a leader who will tell bitcoin is going this route and we all should follow. Whereas with ethereum majority of people is following the dev team moves.

End is certanly not near as bitcoin has built itself a great brand and is one of the most recognizable cryptos which is why I dubt we will see the end of bitcoin in near future.

It is difficult to predict whether the bitcoin will die or whether the bitcoin will survive. No one knows the future, all can only predict and predict, let time will answer the truth of the prediction.

I really like ethereum, but ethereum has problems that BTC doesn´t have.

The way Vitalik´s blockchain  handle the DAO hack was not nice... It will probably have another tests in future, how will they handle them? Will Eth survive future attacks as bitcoin has?

Bitcoin wastes energy on slow transactions not because it´s old, but because it´s a more secure network.
Bitcoin has been way more tested than ethereum. Survived several death attempts...
BTC price has been growing in the last 9 years, almost continuously. Growing wildy without a central planner.
The whole world financial system is looking at bitcoin.

Jihan has more important matters to worry about than what others are doing. Jihan has to figure out how he's going to fill up his empty blocks. Logical step would be to decrease the BCash blocksize to 128KB to create block space scarcity, but even 128KB won't result in full blocks aside from a few occasional blocks that they themselves filled. :D Another important matter is that Samsung is going to compete him out of his significant position within a few years, and when Samsung can enter the game, other multinationals will be able to do so too.

Calling Jihan Wu "The most powerful man in Bitcoin" is just as stupid as calling some random guy from Nevada who started his own company the "CEO of Bitcoin".

OP sometimes makes good points about the Bitcoin network being slow and expensive and Ethereum likely taking the number one spot, but his good points are unforunately overshadowed when he posts nonsense like this.
