Elon Musk revealed on Twitter Thursday that he owns only 0.25 BTC a friend sent him many years ago. Additionally, he doesnt even know where the amount is.

Well, why won't you take what a man sais as a face value? He is chasing enough projects of his own, and has enough money in traditional assets that he may not need to chase after bitcoins too

You can be interested in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies, it doesn't mean you have to own any. It's not everything about the financial side, but also and firstly about the technology behind cryptos. I am not sure why such article was needed to be published, I saw it on several websites, there are surely more interesting to cover.

What for Elon Musk needs Bitcoins if he already launched his own rocket with Tesla on board? :)
He is not interested in richness, he has another mission. He is really genius guy.

He is not interested in being rich, but I'm sure that he loves free money to invest in his projects. I mean, spacecrafts are not free.

You know there is a wide chasm between counting on (or even expecting) bitcoins prise to rise to give one some free money if one doesn't have any, just a few bitcoins that were bought or mined when bitcoin was a hundred dollars a piece, and responsibly managing your financial empire if one is already wealthy beyond what we can imagine.

I think that Elon Musk is already in case 2 scenario and he just doesn't have to count on bitcoin price to rise.

I don't think he can do much with 0.25 BTC for his spacecrafts  ;D. He may not be interested in being rich and is a very clever guy, but his company Tesla is not doing great, it is making loss after loss every quarter...
