i think he is saying the same thing which everyone knows , when btc start moving up then everyone want to join ride of btc and sell alts .

Due to the recent bitcoin increase and the more people are being so crazy dude. This guy betting a lot in the bitcoin but remember altcoin will be following the bitcoin after bitcoin goes to the moon.

i don't think that bitcoin supremacy will come back to 70% that would be a great fall for altcoins or a huge rise for btc and in this moment is not expected, btc will surely rise after the lightining network release

I got to say this, that I earned more in altcoin to people are investing in it but make sure to see and to get updated every day.

To the point you earned altcoin due to campaigns and you think the value coin is enough and no point of increasing well time to trade it in bitcoin. But if you wait and trust the altcoin you can have more value and trade it in bitcoin with high amount of value

I don't understand these people calling doom for cryptocurrency market. As Luke said "Every word you just said is wrong". Altcoin markets will be healed after people fed up with profits over bitcoin. That will happen when bitcoin hits $20000 back again.

This isn't doom for altcoins, it's just a a cycle you can either be a part of and multiply your holdings or not. Altcoins will have there time again but for now it's bitcoins time to shine. It's a simple cycle to follow, sometimes in life you don't need to overthink it.

Yeah i also agree with the thread starter, the new uptrend of btc is just getting started and it will be stronger than ever, my personal opinion and analysis is that it can grow to $40k-$50k this time, the alts will be effected but then again when the btc gets into correction from there alts will start booming.

The altcoins have not really recovered yet. So what alt boom are you talking about? I have yet to see the altcoins fly high. As a matter of fact, the majority who have just invested into altcoins have not yet made some profit. So I hope when Bitcoin starts to rally in a bullish manner it will carry with it the rest of the altcoins. That is the best thing to happen and for everyone to really join the party.

Alts starting booming beginning of December, all the top Alts went up 300-500% vs bitcoin. Zoom out on the top Alts and look at the dominance chart. You can either listen to those who have been doing this for years or stick your head in the sand.

I can't share all the Anylysts here, but just zoom out on xrp/btc and look at how perfect of a double top it formed with the last alt boom of the 2017 spring alt boom. If btc doesnt reach 25k i would say you are wrong !! cuz many alts has been dumped since mid January and btc price was about 15-17k. so even btc rise 14k or above again still there will be rise for alts. After alts pumped and btc reach 25k than we can start to convert alts to btc..

where are your basis that alt boom is ending? look at this good alt like eth and xrp, both got a very good developments. but none-the-less bitcoin will always rule all over altcoins.

Altcoin will stay here for good, its just so happen that bitcoin are bouncing back from a big dump. Almost a 1st quater of 2018 still more time for altcoins to bounce also. Let’s just wait for bitcoin to stabilize on top and that time altcoins will start to pump, be patience.

But I am a really huge bag holder right now and wont risk selling my alts from these prices.
Of course, btc will moon first but just a small time after alts will rise too..

You are heralding what has always been. Bitcoin has always been in boom. Altcoin "booms" are just followers of the trend set already by Bitcoin years ago. The boom from hundredths of cents to 1 cent, the boom from 1 cent to 10 dollars. And then the boom from 10 dollars to 10,000 dollars. It just keeps going, and alts are simply trying to keep up. And what happens when Bitcoin falls? So do alts. So we do not know what you are talking about. Altcoin boom, my cryptoass ;)

Yes bitcoin dominance already at 39.5% right now unlike before that 35% below if BTC dominance goes up to 60% probably all altcoins will bleed like last dec 2017 then after that altcoins will follow to rise.

People are not understanding the potential gain in it, most people are thinking when Bitcoin price is increasing all other coins will drop. It is not like when Bitcoin price is increasing all other altcoin prices will also increase, so we have to wait for BTC dominance to increase all other altcoin prices.

I don't understand people saying altcoins will fall when bitcoin rises, look at last year when bitcoin was raised dramatically...so was almost every altcoin! When bitcoin is steady then altcoins will rise and same goes for when bitcoin rises, altcoin really only fall in price when bitcoin crashes.

wtf are you talking about? Most of the top altcoins fell 70-90% vs bitcoin as bitcoin went from around 2k in august to almost 20k in december. Zoom out on the daily, the charts don't lie!

The alts will keep on eating the market dominance of bitcoin for the simple fact that every day new projects appear, we know that many of them are not worth anything but those projects get replaced by even more useless projects in which people invest their money, I do not think we are going to see a point where bitcoin will recover its previous dominance over the market.

Their is no certain here once lightning network all are into place. So many predictions about altcoins and btc may happen this year. But, making firm decisions whether you sell you altcoins or hold into your btc, so Im still holding btc and some altcouns would remain.

Bitcoin is expected to grow back to its previous ath and even making a new high but at the moment btc seems to struggle in fast recovery however one of the cause of this is low market volume, i hope volume will increase in coming days.

I don't know what you mean by dominace, do you think BTC will have 50% share of the market again, if that happens than I will say it is possible BTC will dominate the market, what is helping BTC most is that most of the trade is against it and as long as this trend continues t will remain the number one spot

bitcoin dominance is increasing day by day ,, its dominance was less than 36% 2 month back when alts were at peak .
now its dominance close to 45% , and it may touch to 52-56% too .

i wish i would i listened to you in feb 2018. i lost more than 50 percent in btc after february.

Yes, bitcoin will remain to be the best in the market, but you don’t actually need to sell your altcoins. Altcoins are doing a good job until now, they will survive and continue to compete with bitcoin. As long as they have support and potential technology that can be good for the future, they will continue to grow like bitcoin as well.

I also think that now is a good time to buy altcoins. they will soon grow madly and then they will be able to make a profit. Now there are many good projects on which the future will be. Of course, bitcoin will always dominate the market because it is the main crypto currency.

You sound like people who have been saying for years that BTC won't work or that it's a scam. You really think all of the innovation in the higher quality dev teams and coins are pointless and can instead just be done with bitcoin? Or that blockchain and crypto has no use outside of a virtual currency? It just baffles me. Honestly, I think bitcoin maximalists are bitter and think that if altcoins didn't exist, that total valuation that they have would simply be in bitcoin and therefore, their btc would be worth more. As if ICOs, social media campaigns by dev teams, and innovative ideas for blockchain use hasn't moved adoption forward and therefore likely bitcoin, as well. Also, competition spurs innovation. So if bitcoin has competition, that's good for bitcoin development.

Seems your are right because the bitcoin started consuming the market slowly. In early January, the bitcoin market dominance was at 31% and it is currently at 44% today. Perhaps, the bitcoin domainance will reach 50-60% again before next altcoins boom.

The market dominance of bitcoin is not really that important what it's important is its market cap and the reason for that is very simple the dominance of bitcoin needs to go down for the simple reason that every single day there are new projects emerging, and while many of those are not worth your time, there are always some good projects, some of them are going to get huge investments and that reduces the market dominance of bitcoin.

So better not to listen on this simply because altcoins is good and it can survive for sure. There's a lot of good altcoins and if you can see its more profitable than bitcoin but of course bitcoin will remain on top and it doesn't mean altcoins will die.

the btc domination is ended years ago, yeah it founded this world but it is not necessary that remains the first crypto (maybe with lighting network it will mantain his position). in the last two years the btc domination is slowly decreasing, just now in this drop it has gained new vitality becasue the people are scared and they think that btc is safer for avoid losses

While there have been moments in which altcoins grew significantly on their own most of the time they follow the movements of bitcoin, if bitcoin grows altcoins grow as well if bitcoin loses value then altcoins lose value as well, to me this is a very clear sign that regardless of the market dominance of bitcoin altcoins are incredibly dependent on it.

Some altcoin also has their own purpose, although Bitcoin can also do it since it is the king of them all, but some token team member try to cater or make contract on some businesses that will use their coins as third options when they accepts payment from customers.

for example you buy any alt at 100 sats and sell at 110 sats then you are in profit of 10 sats , in this way not only you will get benefit of increasing value of bitcoin , but also you will get 5-15% more btc by trading .

we do not have to always focus on bitcoin because now there are so many altcoins that have good potential in the future. we can use altcoin for daily trading and get profit. so having altcoin should also have bitcoin to be balanced.

Crypto currencies don't always about bitcoin, but its also about alt coin, it's good if you want to promote more about bitcoin but crypto also need alt coins to become bigger and bigger, bitcoin is not without flaw, and some alt coin got a feature that bitcoin doesn't has and some even got a better feature than btc, so crypto will be better with the existence of bitcoin and alt coins

I do not see what you are trying to point out here,  bitcoin is already dominating, if you have a lot of bitcoins in your hand and consider yourself a whale, why not make profit with other altcoins, I agree with you that bitcoin is dominating the market and will still dominate the market in the future, but the price of bitcoin will be too much for the average person to own, but with altcoins, we can make use of fiat to buy them and in time their value will also grow, but not the same as bitcoin, still you will have profit, and the reason why people create altcoins is to make a crypto currency that can rival bitcoin, but with a certain cause, and since their have been altcoins in the market, I think that's the only time people appreciated that they invested early on bitcoin, since there are now POS coins and masternodes, you can obtain them by just a fraction of your bitcoin. From what I am seeing, all crypto currency goes hand in hand with each other, let's just not simply focus on bitcoin.

Bitcoin had dominating the crypto currency buy we are now in different situation as we had many good quality altcoins that can take a share of dominance in the market cap. Yeah, Bitcoin will still be a top but his dominance will decrease due to some great altcoins.

I still feel Bitcoin will test $20k before the end of the year and even surpass the level, it now depends on how the Altcon market react in this period, the market is getting matured but I don't think if BTC rally stared that it won't affect Altcoin market greatly

I really had doubts about topic on this thread. When bears were running the market I was planning to sell every altcoin I own for bitcoin. But I didn't. And I still think there is risk involved BUT not all altcoins will die..

This is to encourage panic holder to sell their Altcoin in lower prices so they can buy more token! Since they have poll for the coin like sometime only 900,000 is the allotted slot for token for sale and the other is for awards so they can't buy anymore if this wuantitiy if finished so sometimes they are making someone to panic! Then bought what they have, specially when they know this coin sa a good future ahead.

Anyway, i also agree with you. Actually bitcoin is the main crypto but no all cryptocurrency following it. There are many cryptos following it but not all.

For a beginner there is little chance to make comparatively insane gains in Bitcoin. THe best play is to make money from other coins and then move them into BTC. That is gain more BTC from where you started

That's basically the idea of a wise traders, creating more possibilities to earn much bigger income wherein they fully trust the king of crypto. What makes it difficult about altcoin is that they are too many to choose and in terms of price increased it is really slow. To make it simple, yes Bitcoin is the best to invest especially on longer-term basis.

Bitcoin will always dominate the market, that's my opinion but there are also good alternate coins that I think have to potentially grow in the next few years like XEM or TRON. I mean there are a lot of good alternate coins, you just have to choose the right one for you.

Bitcoin will always remain dominant but this does not certainly mean that you start selling any other coin except bitcoin and that too at time when the market value of all the coins is falling. You need to stay patient and that even if you want to sell your altcoins, you need to only sell them at time when the market value of the coins which you have starts rising higher and thus will help you in having greater profit.

Bitcoin is very strong, I accept it, but the altcoins can be found much faster. So taking risks and buying altcoins can be beneficial. I do not think bitcoin can dominate everything in the market, its too hard

There is a pattern where bitcoin dominance will increase if it starts moving and this pattern has repeated so many times.
So i think that you can earn a lot of profit if you play with that pattern (the btc dominance).

I don't agree with you, this kind of phenomenon will only appear when the price is very low. If the price of Bitcoin is high, such a situation will not occur, and many coins will grow by themselves.

Yes, it is the leader and it will stay the dominant cryptocurrency for dozens of years. However, it does not mean that everybody must rush to exchange their altcoins to Bitcoins.

Altcoins will rise together with Bitcoin. The technology behind Bitcoin is old and slow, incomparable to newer solutions available, over time more people will come to see that and prefer investing in new cutting-edge solutions.

I think alternative coins will be always. BTC is good but what about privacy coins like XMR, ZEC etc? For BTC it's possible with mixer only for additive fee. What about quicj transactions? For BTC it's possible with Lightning only and today not so much nodes support it. No, I think that alts have own rights to be live

I think since the bitcoin dominance has been increased from the passed 1 month, he may shared it mate. I like to invest on the ICO project pre listed or good potential coins have boom view in future. So now I am not carrying about the bitcoin or top altcoins now. Just invested partial fund to the some altcoins now.

If you believe the worth of the project just invest no need to worry about the coins which is at peak but even I have more faith over the biitcoin.

As much as i keep my bitcoin for long term, so with my alternate coins too because you can't deny ethereum and other elite cryptos that are listed on top. They surely are promising cryptos that can give me a good profit in the coming years because i believe that like BTC and ETH, they will grow more too.

you better have both because at this time when the price of bitcoin will become dominant and when bitcoin experiences a certain price increase the price of altcoin will also experience a price increase so the most important thing is you have to buy an altcoin that has a very good project and development.

from what i see is you try to create FUD, selling altcoins now do nothing besides losses.

just because almost all coin price now is dirt cheap doesnt mean all are dead. i can guarantee if you selling now, you will regret for the rest of you life.

i relaly hate BTC.. is pioneer but not usefull at all .. very expensive/slow transactions.
there are MANY MANY more useful cryptocurrencies.. but seems people is too short minded and dont realize it yet.
more on this.. 94% of BTC is held by 3 big minning groups, so it is NOT decentralized... this/these "Satoshi Nakamoto", must be inside these groups.. it was a plan to creat BTC, promote it as the new Gold.. and then mine like crazy to have as much supply as possible... now they can manipulate market at their will.. it is a pity to admit it, but they fuc**ed up the initial premise of cryptocurrency.. it is another kind of economy where these groups are the new banks/goverments.. different dog, but same necklace!
