Title: Mining with other forms of hardware Post by: efabe420 on February 27, 2018, 07:48:02 AM This might be a stupid question but forgive me, I am still relatively new to mining and still dont fully understand all the "ins and outs" But Im wondering what it is about graphics cards that makes them the #1 or at least top 3 methods of mining. From what I understand, its all about processing power combined with controlability on a pc interface. makes sense but whats to stop somebody from hacking and mining with a high end smart tv for example? Or maybe a ps4, Xbox1 etc? GPUs arent the only circuit boards out there that are connected to the internet and capable of processing hi res/ hi def video. What gives GPUs their unmatched hash power?
