Title: [2018-02-27] US Navy Investigators Bust Bitcoin Drug Ring at Naval Academy
Post by: SergiuDemerji on February 27, 2018, 11:25:50 AM
Isn't it ironic how the MSM says Bitcoin is for criminals, then something like this happens?
Not trying to bash the Navy, just funny how narratives get pushed along by the media.

"US Navy investigators have uncovered an alleged drug ring at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, involving between ten to two-dozen suspects. Three cadets are accused of buying cocaine, ketamine and LSD on the dark web using bitcoin and selling the drugs to their classmates."

This seems more of an attempt to mess up the bitcoin image, they just have this news that does not have many details such as concrete evidence that these soldiers used bitcoin and where they specifically bought and even if they supposedly had some proof that does not mean that there are thousands of people using bitcoin to commit crimes, there have always been some people who have used any invention to commit crimes, an example of this is the case of the knife, the chairs, our own body, which are used for other purposes (for example to commit crimes) When should not it be used to commit crimes
