yes the site says contact the team, but doesn't say how, i have lots of flap and i'm scared the devs and everybody are getting first crack at it with no info for us regular miners to swap..

Well lets  see. we were able to restart the chain , we were able to return several  billion coins from the cryptsy wallets.
Then a second exchange closed its doors locking flap up once again . So we swapped the chain to returned billions of coins a
second time. All that took a lot of time and effort. We currently updating the GUI in the wallet with current links .
were removing some links that have gone 404 and shopping for more listings

2 more exchanges have created problems its seem to be as bad as coin markets or cryptsy
but its still more problems . this is why there has been a lack of a road map. flap/flapx is suppose to
be driven by anyone in the community who wants to participate it was a rescue after all .
people keep flaking out or taking the coin and running. im not quite ready to make this a dictatorship just yet.
but i do understand it cant continue this way . all of the concerns here on the board are noted most are valid.

ive been mining flap for about 18 months i want it to be worth a bit more also just as much as anyone else

3 exchanges which i have never been. there are some bad reviews i read on unnamed. and yes, yobit. even not so good reputation at least there are a lot of traders on that exchange. but for those 3, i doubt this coin will ever be alive in the next coming months.
and how long can the dev team maintain their activity here?

Flapmin has been dev of flappycoin  ie flapxcoin since mid april 2017 and you can go back and follow developement if you would like to. Last year we flapx was on multi exchanges and all failed.   Please go back and look at dev and see for yourself.

For some reason this chain stopped updating on my system months ago (no connections and/or the two or three peers found do not transmit updated blocks).  I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 currently.  I'm missing the Flappy/Flapx-experience and would like to remedy this in some manner someday.  That is, I would like to have an excuse to run a full-node again.

While describing a hoped-for scenario, I figure I might as well float a trial balloon about somewhat similar-themed [and amusing] projects that either don't exist (the first example listed) or are wilting on the vine such as: a "GrooCoin" -- based on the Groo the Wanderer character [*sort of* a Conan the Barbarian spoof... but with a world unto itself... I'd suggest "cheese dip" as the unit-of-account (if one is familiar with one of Groo's main motivations, the rationale will be obvious)] -- maybe with some proportion of stakes+mining [20-30% ?? a hybrid coin??]  paid to an address set aside for the creator Sergio Aragones, Dobbscoin, or some of the Blazr2/HagbardCeline coins like 23 Skidoo [CHAO], Cthulhu Offerings [OFF], Flaxscript [FLAX], or Melange [SPICE].  ^_^ (nudge nudge)  [ EDIT: After writing the original draft of this message a couple days ago, I found out that Dobbscoin has been rebooted as a PoS-chain with *wince* masternodes and is being tinkered with some more [albeit implemented with an older version of the Boost libraries. ]

BTW, this is probably another long-term goal, but it would be worthwhile to modernize the openssl for Flapx.   Like many (most?) altcoins, it seems to be reliant/built upon the cryptographic handshaking protocols of older versions than the 1.1.1 long-term support version (see https://www.openssl.org/source/ ).

Finally, it wouldn't hurt to scrutinize Bisq as an exchange option [decentralized exchange running over Tor ... https://bisq.network/vision/  ]  The steps to list an asset seem straightforward  [ https://docs.bisq.network/exchange/howto/list-asset.html ] Some experience with git and looking at how unit-tests are implemented in Java seem to be the only hurdles.

Sorry to be pointing out problems or promoting challenging projects without offering much help **at present** (I've been focusing on other areas of programming not real germane to this -- assembly [Intel, gnu/gas], Lisp, Smalltalk, shell-scripting, Perl, some other stuff... not really C++, autotools, make, version contron [git, mercurial, or other] at the moment).

Just wanted to say Flapx is thriving at Unnamed Exchange!!  It is where I buy additional Flapx to stake.  Unnamed exchange offers many markets for Flapx, find the one that suits you best.  I prefer the Flapx-LTC and Flapx-DOGE, but that is me, you may find your own market pairing you like more so go for it.  Nerd Lab coins love UNNAMED EXCHANGE or at least I do!!

Unanamed exchange will shut down before the dawn. Dont peddle that here. The exchange u referred to is a bog of clay undergoing unvivid transformation into a solid incarnation of common hoax. First that exchange grips ur mind, then it eats up ur coins and after that u feel the same as if u were mugged by a thug with a metal stick in the middle of ore canyon.
