Title: which altcoins are here to stay
Post by: poly13 on February 27, 2018, 07:12:25 PM
Hi, I need your opinion on the following question.
Which altcoins are here to stay and which will slowly fade out. I must put a emphasize on Utility.
Utility vs Speculation.
- The project must solve a real world issue
- The project must have existing partnerships
- A need for the project.

Since it's a utility token, how many real world usage cases you provide?

The current ICOs with Tokens Utility characters are, TOKEN MIDEX which will develop a CryptoCurrency Marketplace platform or there is also a Friendz Token where this Friendz will develop a Social Media Application.

@poly13. A cryptocoin does not need a partnership to exist. What really happens is partnerships limit a coin's quality to become a medium of exchange. Also, a project with special interest groups behind it will be bound to that group.

In bitcoin, there are some people in the community who reckon that it has partnered with Blockstream, and therefore follows a roadmap the company wants, not the community.

All the altcoins are fluctuating in Crypto market but Some potential altcoins are maintain a same growth in future. So we don't predict all the coins are unstable in the market. Lot of coins are good growing technology but current scenario is not suit for the crypto platform again Everything should be normal that time we all are suggest the Ethereum.

Your best bet would be Ethereum. Based on your list:

- The project must solve a real world issue
- The project must have existing partnerships
- A need for the project.

It satisfies everything. To even add to that, Ethereum is backed by a solid and active development team.

The problem with that thinking is that coins solving problems today could be obsolete tomorrow after new technology is developed.

unfortunately when you limit your criteria to "real use cases" of an altcoin then you end up with an empty list. because all of the altcoins promise to be fixing some real world issue but when you really check them out and try seeing what they are doing you see that they are not only not fixing anything, but also they were only created to be pumped and dumped!

my hope is that we see some real results from coins based on DAG such as Nano, IOTA, ByteBall. but they are not exactly exceptions either.

Monero, Ethereum, Litecoin are here to stay and have proved their stability over time.
Monero being the best privacy coin, through its ring signature makes the transactions highly secure and untraceable. Hence, the coin is being used for transactions by some major companies.
Ethereum holds strong in the market with a market capital of $37 billion. The coin is one of the best platform for posting new ICOs. The coin is also the second most popular crpto after Bitcoin.
Litecoin has shown great stability in the last 3 years. The coin has a blockchain of 2.5 minutes which makes its transactions much more faster. Also, the coin has one of the strongest development teams behind it. Hence the coin shows a lot of potential for the future.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on Pre-ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

Those 2 will not last longer than 10 years, I reckon. Maybe Ripple has a chance because it is backed by venture capitalists. But if all the funding goes away, it will not see the same success as bitcoin. unless it becomes a true open source project.

Ethereum, same scenario. They have pivoted from world computer, to immutable smart contracts, to ICO token issuance. None of those models have lasted except for token issuance.

Ethereum: Because there are more than 475 tokens listed in CMC based on it. And the number of new ICOs are being built on the daily basis.
Ripple: Big venture capitalists are behind this, also it is pretty much old and holding its under top 10 market cap position since its day one.
Monero: Number one in privacy, which is also the first privacy coin adopted by the dark webs.
Litecoin: If bitcoin is gold, then this one is silver. Also the 2nd oldest cryptocurrency after btc.

This is in fact the sad reality which do exist into this market where most coins do promise out a specific thing regarding into its usage or proposed innovations but yet they are all in speculative phase or just simply they are good on words not actually on further development and same as you said most of them are just being created for the sake of money or designed for pump and dumped. There are still coins which do have good developments but doesnt come to a point or state to be implemented.

Ethereum with their application. They are working on scaling so they can catch up with VISA scalability. In that case, we could use it in, by many people, every day for payment without congestion. Privacy coins Monero, Zcash, Deeponion for hidden transactions. Some of the technical coins Golem which will be used to create a massive supercomputer from our home PCs. SONM, iExec, and Elastic are similar. One of the interesting coins out there is DATA coin by Streamr. They will use blockchain technology for transferring data, which could be sold. Data would be collected from everywhere. Cars, gas stations, buses etc.

It all depends on the idea of the project. Check out the roadmap of the project, look at the punctuality of the implementation of the activities specified in the plan. If the team is responsible for execution of their duties, and the coin will live.

The coin which will stay for long is coin which have a real use case and the case only can be solved by blockchain or decentralised system. I think AI is one of them also IOT, and identity like dna stored in blockchain. Storing data also must be decentralised to prevent stealing data and manipulating.

Usually some people really don't care about the use of some altcoins, whether if it solves a real world issue, if the project really has a good use case or whether if it will be really beneficial to others. What most people care about is where will they earn more, some people even invest in altcoins that actually has no purpose as long as it is popular and profitable.

Because basically the majority of new projects or icos just try to make any improvement to the existing code. In fact, ethereum developer can do it even better without need any other project that aims to build better smartcontract platform.
Those are aiming to improve the smartcontract will be useless. How ethereum comes with a new code called smartcontract.

With over 1000 alt coins trading right now and thousands of ICOs coming every month, it's very hard rather impossible to predict the name of altcoin that will stay forever. To survive in today's competitive crypto market alt coins must have an innovative idea(to solve real-world use cases), road map and a team that can give the deliverables on time like we see in case of Ethereum.

Over time, bad projects and centralized altcoins will be filtered out of the altcoin ecosystem by market forces.

I believe that Monero is the altcoin that will probably stay for a long time to come and remain relevant. Because a lot of altcoins right now are trying to do way too much with all the smart contracts and all, monero is just trying to solve a simple problem of anonymity on the internet. And with monero being anonymous it means that they are truly a fungible currency.

It doesn't have any partnerships, but it doesn't have to. It's not a trading platform or ICO platform that gets replaced by better alts over time. That's why I think it's here to stay.

It sounds like great project to me but the offer of 50% is not very realistic. I am not condemning or trying to defame this but honestly, who would give away this much share or revenue. The best is to go for simple ways like buying the potential coins from the famous websites. However, I loved to see bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. But if you are into this, my well wishes are with you.

Crypto money will go to success if you do not go to slap your target investors. Those who have an innovative idea and who have a team to develop it can survive and maintain their levels even in the most distressing market conditions.

Everything other than Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero and possibly Dash and a few others like Zcash
are here to stay because they are already in full use and are backed.

Most others are still projects and are in the speculation zone. It is early days for those eventhough

Get ready for the smart revolution and advent of functional IoT.  Everything from common household appliances to self driving vehicles will be in constant communication with each other and the web.  They will take care of their own mantenance, operating costs, and much more.  In order for this all to be possible there will have to be high speed, flawless transactions which can’t be hacked.  Blockchains are the perfect solution to that problem but current top blockchains are too slow and expensive for IoT applications.  That is where Marinecoin steps in.  They have developed artificial intelligence to manage the complexities of IoT applications.  To learn more visit their website and read about their current ico. Zero fees for IoT applications.  They have set up a dev-less time tested fair distribution system for the community. marineco.in/ico

I usually think of ICO as a ERC20 token from Ethereum. But ICO really stands for Initial Coin Offering. So, kind of funny, most ICO is really a ITO, Initial Token Offering. But Marinecoin is offering coins as part of their initial airdrop. It is an interesting model called proof of promotion (PoP). Never heard of this type of distribution before. They say they will use AI for machine to machine (not sure what this means) transactions. Sort of basic articial [artificial] intelligence. Who knows what the value of the coin will be, but all cryptocurrency is time tested borrowing from Bitcoin code base. It is just a matter of getting utility (usefulness) out of any altcoin. That seems to be the real challenge. I rarely see any new technology being used, just re-hashing existing code. While a dev team is important, I feel the marketing & promotion is more important for community growth and sustained usability of an altcoin.Website is: marineco.inMore details here: bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2971179.0

OCN complies with all your qualifications. It's been integrated into oBike, with 40m users slowly starting to use it. Grab is expected to be next. OCN provides the most efficient means of payment/other utility for the sharing economy short term. Long term, it really could replace Amazon. OCN is needed becauae of the lack of decentralized platforms for products/services. The idea is, users will get rewarded for writing objective reviews of services, such as grab, Obike etc. And will be rewarded with OCN.

The different mechanisms and credit score are all working to build sharing economy ecosystem.

OCN is also partnered with TRX. And this is TRX's year since the main net is launching.

Look at the guide of the task. As I would see it, it is smarter to make your own examination and put stock in your guts. The majority of the protection coins are underestimated at this moment. Because of this nobody can give culminate forecast about this which will remain here and which is going to dead soon.

Yes i think there are plenty of Altcoins worth buying into. Here’s one I have recently invested a little bit of money into as i think it has a very bright future: the new Marinecoín ICO and here’s why i think so. .MTC. will inherently increase in value thanks to the unique artificial intelligence enabled bounty model, that utilizes time dilution technology to attain a complete fair distribution concept. Invest with the peace of mind that miner’s will not be able to take control of the currency thanks to the AI, Jarvis. Jarvis will maintain the mtc network enabling zero fees and near instantaneous transaction speeds. Being built for iot payments, i believe mtc has a bright future. Check ’em out for yourself (marineco.ín). Alright i’m out, cheers all!

I also use it whenever i trade my tokens from mew to etherdelta. anyways i do also believe that etherium will stay because etherium is indeed a good alt that is the same as bitcoin due to their high price and lots of usage or purpose aside from just a digital currency. top alts such as bch , dash , doge , etc . will also stay for sure because they are also promising.

It is difficult to speculate now, because everything may change the way we don't even expect. At least I know for sure that Bitcoin is here to stay for a long time. As for the altcoins, they should solve some real time issues and have connections to real time businesses and be integrated in these businesses. I can give example of "KIN" coin. The team is building the inftrastructure around this coin and try to integrate it in their chat called "KIK".
The price is below ICO now. Could be potentially interesting for long-term hold.

I think Bitcoin is here to stay. Other coins, which create an infrastructure, are here to stay aswell, for example ETH or NEO. However, some new coins are pretty promising, like Arcbloc.
Also, a coin which is fast at transactions, and requires small amounts of energy, would be desirable for the financial sector.

They have set up a dev-less time tested fair distribution system for the community. marineco.in/ico

i have 3 coins.

mth
sonm and kin.

i really trust these projects.

Which altcoins are here to stay? I really do not know. What I know though is that the ones that I have, I will not sell them until they reach a certain price after a few years. I need the patience to do those kinds of waiting games especially if we are talking about money here.

I would recommend joining the project Pavocoin. Pavo brings together the needs of the AgTech ecosystem from one platform: secure transactions, secure payments, smart contracts and transactions without cash.

Ethereum will stay. There are so many altcoins that still coming and also many will just vanish. Ethereum has a big impact to me that I really want to to soar high. If it can beat Bitcoin one day, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who will cheer for it.
Ethereum has possibility to increase price but always second to bitcoin. It won't beat bitcoin because it is the foundation. Better to hold for the coins that you have from bounties, just make sure that it become a successful project because it will double the price when it is fully implemented in the market.

HYDRO PROJECT

Hydro enables private financial systems to seamlessly leverage the public blockchain. Cloud applications throughout the financial services ecosystem can now benefit from the power of smart contracts, creating more secure, transparent, and low cost financial products globally.

All those that are already stablished on this market, like Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and so on, most of those which are on the top 10 are always going to be in there, no matter what. Those coins are more than important at this moment.

I don’t like the idea of investing in new ICOs anymore. We had many in history and none was very good at producing profits. Now that the competition is greater than ever, investing in new ICOs means wastage of time and money. Skip what is still not created but among those that are with us, in my honest option only few have some good potential of surviving and growing up like Ethereum, neo, Litecoin etc.

Except for coins that has been fighting with the top 100 position, all team that keep pushing with their project and keep collecting investors and holder, even they buy little portion of the token but buyer keeps on coming then for sure their coins will survive.

The market discounts everything. Check the top coins in terms of capitalization and those probably will stay. I'm not saying there is no other interesting projects - there is a lot of coins worth to be checked. However if you want to be sure and invest in stable coins, go with the current "leaders" - they will stay.

First of all, I draw on the ratings of the maniac and some users I know personally for their successful investment. It turns out they are very accurate analysis of all projects. Perhaps it is worth learning how to make the right choice for quality trade and investment.

Matrix AI (MAN) , Vechain( VEN) , NEO , DASH , MONERO , WAVES and few other will be here for long long time. They are all for long term invest. You can think that NEO , DASH and MONERO are expensive but they will make more x by time. We are just in begining so if you are looking for long term they are the best.

to make a choice in trading maybe we should see a lot of information about the trend that will happen for several weeks or months ahead associated with crypto assets. that way we can use the moment to apply to the assets we want to invest

I think people have started to know about good project and we can see how there price is surging as a prove that these projects solve humanity problems and there is a need for them. We should look at how some token like tron is having world acceptability and many people speak good of ethereum zcash and iost because of the technology behind them.
