Intel Core2 Duo E7200 (Undervolted)
Intel 975X chipset Mobo (Undervolted)
4GB DDR2 Ram (Undervolted)
2x HD 5870 (900Mhz Core/1300Mhz Mem, 1.075V)
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W PSU (Don't mine the SSD sticker, it's from my Win8 Pro Rig with a SSD...LOL)

I know there's a post like this in Bitcoin Mining Hardware section, but want to get one started here for the Alternate Currencies.

I transferred my PSU from my gaming rig that has a OCZ SSD right now...lol....Plan to either put a small SSD in the mining rig or run linux BAMT on USB in the near future....

These are from our old store. 4x7950 in each one, two per "case" - All these are of the same build in different stages, none of them are the finished product, though. These are old pics, and yes, I know we don't have all the GPU's hooked up in these pics. We are up to almost 20 of these, now, but working on getting out of GPU mining

Planning to do a couple open setups eventually. 2 to 4 of them, possibly solar powered(Sunny California, LOL). Waiting for the new AMD GPU, so I can buy people's old HD 7590's for cheap...hehe

i have a similar setup to the OP and have CPU mined a lot and at times i fairly profitable..
but i have a e7500 one of the last gen ones at 1333fsb and i think its a Kentsfield.
I specifically avoided buying a quad because my board has problems OC'ing those old quads
and at almost stock voltage i can jack up the CPU 28% and the FSB 41% on air..
i bet your trying to save electricity costs they lol

Definitely trying to save on electricity cost$$$$$$ and still have performance....LOL...I hash about 825~850 kh/sec total.....Also, $0.1323 /Kwhr isn't one of the cheapest rates in the US, but supposedly my area they with half the cost because we live in a valley area....Hopefully next month as PG&E quoted....I'm thinking of slowly buying a few solar panels at a time to make a setup that can power between 5~10 kw/hr with one of those kit off of ebay....
