You pay attention. DASH, Monero and Zcash have been listed in the top 3 crimes altcoin commonly used.
According to Jarek Jacubchek, a security expert at Europol, while Monero uses non-transparent bockchain technology, DASH arranges transactions in a way that no third party monitors the cash flow. . Zcash has special security that prevents access to and control over illegal sources.
Maybe this price of 3 coin will down people to monitor the situation offline.

I am a fan of Monero. Really surprising that it's not in top5 coins. Everyone is bragging about privacy and security but still using traceable coin or other similar coins

The same story again and again. Crimes also use fiat money. And what about it? All those "experts" can't do anything with it so they have to imagine scared stories about mythical criminals using crypto.

Monero has a tighter privacy level than bitcoin. The technology used makes it difficult to track users or IP addresses.
Monero has been accepted into trading on Dark web and has been used in several ransomware attack transactions.
so as far as the news that I read Monero is a coin that is often used for criminal acts.
for DASH and others I have not read much about it.

So it's gonna be goodbye to my monero  :-[ but how do they have an upcoming give away?

Perhaps the attackers use these coins, but do not they use dollars? Not so long ago, even Bill Gates said that the crypto-currencies contribute to terrorism and money laundering, his words disappointed me ..

So that's one of the things I've been worried about.
Because these anonymous tokens are widely used in the dark web, the risk of buying these tokens can be high, as you can be involved in illegal crimes such as money laundering.

Yes, Monero is the default payment currency for dark web and all new silk road variants, Dash too is quite popular and often gets associated with funding terrorism. Zcash is too catching on.

This thing is also happening in some countries with predominant money. It's the same thing, they are just using this digital currency to take some advantages to do crimes. There are places that is called black market where you can have hidden transactions and can buy some things for crimes. Even bitcoin is used also, do you think the value of bitcoin becomes low? it gives no effect at all. Popularity of bitcoin becomes big because of many investors in the world not in crimes. It's a normal thing for some but still it's dangerous for having this system, it's makes me concern about what will happen next in monero.

Then what to say for Verge , where the privacy is on really good level. Actually Monero is traceable, but Verge not :)
 

We can use any coin as a medium of exchange but we do not prefer this to fiat. Coins that allow anonymous medium of exchange is a important advantage of crypto to fiat.

I don't know why some people are surprise about this, these are what these ALtcoins are design for, it is for for crime world, when Dark web adopt a coin, there is a special reason for that because it makes the transaction untraceable, people in that space cherish their identity anonymousity and things must remain that way for them

Hoods, wigs, sunglasses and caps help to hide faces from the systems of recognition of persons and nobody calls them criminal. So it is with anonymous cryptocurrencies.

And do you know that even so "safe" fiats like Euro and Dollars been used for crime even more often than any of crypto coins?

only a madman who says 3 altcoin is a crime. do not blame altcoin, but this is purely a mistake from its users.

Being used by criminals is not fault of the coin. It gives you the privacy to do anything, if you do bad things, its your problem, not coin's.

You told it right. There is no fault for the developers that somebody using their creation for some crime. Just like the scientist who discovered a new fuel aren't responsible for military dudes who uses that fuel to run tanks and kill people.

The 'crimes' altcoin status is just fud. There are legitimate reasons for wanting privacy. Trying to 'criminalise' that by association is insane.

  I do not see any problem, that these coins are used for their criminal purposes does not make them criminal.
On this principle, dollars and other fiat currency can be called the main source of payments for crimes, because it is dollars that are the ultimate goal of most of the crimes committed.
  If they want? criminals will find a loophole without crypto currency.

I really think Every Currency will surely be used by criminals or it can be used in illegal ways in some instance because it is surely private that is why some people will use this for their convenient sake, And I really think this is not coins fault but because of the privacy and convenience of digital coins people are thinking of ways they can do with it for their own personal agenda.

it will be interesting to see how this private cryptocurrencies will be handled once regulation for crypto exists in western countries. I believe btc like currencies will be regulated and monero will get banned

probably because transactions in the crypto world are recorded in the blockchain ledger, but the government can't detect the history of the transaction. so crypto is often used for crime transactions.

Fiat money is the most untraceable currency, namely dollar. This currency is the top currency used by criminals until today. They should do something about  it before blaming any cryptocurrency because cryptocurrency had a small percentage in involvement with circulation of money used by the criminals.

These three privacy coins was created to have our privacy intact whenever we are doing transactions these was created for that purpose and theres nothing wrong with these 3 coins,the wrong doings will on the people whom who uses these 3 coins to illegal activities,why would these 3 be responsible to the people's actions? these are the most commonly used privacy coin today and i dont see any problem using it.

There will be no crime if you didnt use these theree privacy coins into some illegal activities,the use of these coins will be in your hands,it doesnt mean that if you have these three you will be a criminal,or subjected into criminal cases,either way these are three most powerful privacy coins that is why most of the cindicates online are using these three.

Of course some criminals use ALTCOIN, that is not up for discussion, but the countless articles about how bad ALTCOIN is; Criminals use Bitcoin to move $ 72 billion a year, research suggests, Bitcoin used by CRIMINALS to launder illegal funds, Criminals are cashing in on Bitcoins for illegal activity from buying drugs, hiring hitmen and forging passports on the Dark Web, all they are doing is harming a project, that was made to help people and solve major issues.
