Title: Do Not Use Stripe, Ever!
Post by: btcbtq on February 28, 2018, 11:18:46 PM
I chose Stripe because they accepted Bitcoin payments. They stopped accepting Bitcoin a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that our transfers were not hitting our account automatically as they did before. I contacted support this morning. Within an hour I received a notice that our account has been closed and funds will be held for 90 days.

The crazy part about this is my PayPal/eBay accounts were closed earlier this year for the same reason. That's why I went to Stripe in the first place.

Stripe used to accept bitcoin payments. When they first announced that they would accept bitcoin it was very good news for bitcoin.

They stopped because the fees was high but now the fees is very low and they still don't accept bitcoin.

90 days is nothing, I have PayPal accounts with frozen money for more than 180 days.
Hate them in so many ways, have seen any kind of incompetence from their side but unfortunately, they are the leaders of online proceesing and  buyers trust them.
How would buyers react if they knew how PayPal treat sellers..

That's a very annoying thing for us to experience when we need it, what you do until it can cause your account to close, you have to deal with this and wait for your account to open again.

PayPal is terrible. Had an account with them for over a decade. When they found out our dealings with bitcoin they asked for re-verification. I submitted it and they still closed my account. I feel like they just wanted my personal information.

They should return the funds immediately. I did not agree to give them an interest free loan. I hope other merchants see this post and do not use Stripe.

Maybe you made a very serious mistake so that there is an action your account is temporarily blocked, hopefully will be fine on your next account.
