Title: Help
Post by: appleannie on September 28, 2013, 07:59:59 PM
I have been frantically trying to figure out what I am doing wrong with getting started. I am trying to mine 4 ASIC block erupters with CGMiner. My computer says that I am bridged, and that my miners are ready to go. I just received a USB hub with a power adapter as well as plug in for the computer. I still get the following message.

you need to install a WINusb driver for AMU device 1:7

Does anyone have any links to where I can find this driver device. Is it on the Microsoft website. I am so nervous about viruses and such off a Google search. My McAfee will not be here until next week.

Thank you

In the ASIC Readme that came with CGMiner it tells you how to install WinUSB by utilizing the Zadig utility that you can also download from the same place you got CGminer.

McAfee is the second to last scanner I would use these days.

Go to ninite.com and download the installer for M$ Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.
