To sum up the article in a nut shell; Instead of 'legally' scamming you off your money entirely, they'll cut you some slack and take a tiny bit less away from you.

If anyone is falling for this nonsense, you just deserve to lose your invested money, seriously. If you re-invest your 'earning' on top of that, you're even more of a sucker. Cloud mining is by far the longest running 'legal' ponzi scheme that we have ever faced in this market, which due to the high influx of brainless chickens manages to remain relevant and to even grow further. But feel free to burn your money anyway if you dont care. ::)

Not too profitable, i calculate it via coinwarz and it take about 255 days(with maintenance fees) for scrypt and 244 days for sha256 to get our investment back  :-\ .

they went back to making promotions and now make much higher promotions, this shows that they should not be having new clients.

first they made constant promotions and then they did something to hold other people's money, I'm talking about the increase in the minimum value of withdrawal. This is more like they're running ponzi scheme.

so they are doing a lot of promotion, I want to create a mini mining farm in my country, I already have the land and I want to take a course in programming so I can be able to solve problem when I have a problem on my little mining farm , so I came across certain problems, one of them is the issue of electricity... I'm researching solar panels to use on my small mining farm, and that's what I do not understand when I see hashflare doing these promotions. I say they have to pay the cost of electricity, they have to pay the mining workers, they have to buy new equipment when some gets damaged. how can they possibly offering 10% off?

You are right and I just looked again onto my hashflare account. Earnings are significantly down and withdraw minimums are still at 500$ in BTC. I wouldn't buy there new contracts or reinvest, although electricity in iceland is cheap, but not as cheap as to cover all costs and taxes. I can only hope, that I will get paid out my money, when my "lifetime" contract will end in September 2018.

The discount is 5%. That's not a lot.

The code has been advertised all over media outlets essentially, and I don't think that it's free publicity, probably paid. Not sure if this is an affiliate code or an official code, but I think it's the latter due to the paid advertisements on themerkle, coinidol, etc.

It's almost suspicious that they're running this promo. Seems like they're trying to get new investors with whatever way possible. This combined with the fact that previously, they have dealt shadily with customer contracts, all signal to one direction - it may be an insolvent company in the making.

This is not passive income. It's not guaranteed income. It's not income at all. I would NOT recommend hashflare to anyone, if you were investing in cloud mining which I would discourage you from investing in altogether, use Genesis. At least they are a lot more trusted.

This is a good example to show those newbies who wants to invest on mining and show then whats the result before involving themselves in this kind of system. Although we need more elaborate calculations to what you're stating.

Lets take an example with bitcoin mining contract on hashflare, use this site (https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator) to calculate it. Lets say i buy 1 TH/s (1000 GHS) just fill hashrate with 1000 and power watt and cost is 0, after that fill *pool fee with 40% (for now since bitcoin price is going down) after that fill hardware cost with 180 usd(for 1 ths/100ghs) and click calculate. You will see something like this

*pool fee on hashflare based on usd, so if the bitcoin price going down, then you will get less payout because it will charge more on maintenance fee as you can see from my hashflare account history for today
