But in the end, all the money goes to the one who gives out the cards, and gets a commission (the usual poker scheme). Think about how you can send "Your Tokens" without using ether. Can ICO project get out of this game and say - I'm real owner of the tokens that I released. The most important questions that you should ask yourself - what kind of freedom it limits? And who benefits from these limitations?

It is impossible to become slaves voluntarily. People get involved in the game voluntarily. This is not slavery. Similar to roulette, the croupier always has an income. But the players are hoping for luck. No one can know the number where the ball will land. The price of currency on the exchange fluctuates within certain limits. Therefore, there is always a chance to win. These cryptocurrencies differ from casino. ICO is a separate issue. It's getting more complicated because I never participate in such projects.

ICOs need a blockchain to operate on and if they choose Ethereum then they are going to have to pay the fees in the way of Ether. Funds can't just move around for free.

There is nothing forcing them to do this, if they wanted to launch their own blockchain prior to their ICO and then hold their ICO on their own blockchain then they could do exactly that.

Unfortunately ETH doesn't have competitor as platform for ICO yet. I hope it gonna maybe not this year but in 1-2 years. ETH is like monopoly platform for ICOs. We need competitiveness.

There are too much realy good projects with their own blockchains (like Elastos, for example) and don't connected anyway with ethereum. There also projects that use Ethereum for token sale only but develope their own blockchain (like Wanchain, for example). But in general - yes, 90% new projecs use ethereum and this is sad.

But no one really uses them yet. I didn't say there is no alternative just that if people choose ethereum they'll have to pay a fee. In the future there might be a transition to other platforms that charge little or no fees.

If an ICO tried to launch on a different blockchain right now it would most likely struggle because people are so used to and dependent on ethereum.

It's hard to move from Ethereum, i mean ICO project now easily made and always use ERC20 Based Token. It means Ethereum control everything here.

Many coins do not correspond to the ideal of the cryptocurrency. I think that there are many questions that would like to discuss the majority in the crypto community.

there is no way around money

well you either gonna find a job you love and work in the long term for money, or you will create join an ICO company or you will become a slave, these are the choices,

thats where globalisation moves.

for the last time buterin is not the problem and ethereum also isnt, there will be multiple plattforms in the future the problem are the speculants that drive the price, they hold back gas, and they theoretically can slow down the entire transaction system or make transactions extremly expensive.

there are thausands of encription plattforms and services and there will be more in the future, the question is weather you are able to establish a name and a brand around your coin

I really like the person who made this question, this kind of question is only for the freedom of expression. In crypto business, all people who access and use are like a workers, that follows some guidelines and regulations. Sometimes people don't like the rules being implemented, but as a workers we must adopt and accept the reality of crypto business. For example if we earn token, does not mean that it will directly become money or directly convert into money,  it will pass through process. Hopefully all people can accept the reality of crypto business.

Do I fully grasp what road guy is talking about?  While many rely on ethereum, that's because it's an incubator for them to grow so that they can have their own platform. I don't think most want to forever remain on ETH platform but they can't do with it for now.

you can just run your business and be stable with it, however the current lead currency and leadership value orientation of the us dollar will disappear things are getting volatile, token can quickly explode in value or drop in value, depending on the cryptocapitalist that operated them.

these decentral token like bitcoin that are just empty IT systems will in my oppinion quickly lose their value and mutate into some propagandistic energy wasting sects only the bitcoin miners and owners have currently interest in promoting it.

take Z-Cash for example, its limited in its ammount, and its original creators lose all interest in promoting and upkeeping its value including its media attention AFTER they have sold THEIR premine, therefore decentral token might not be as great later as you think now.

Man, you are talking about slavery, but you cannot see that slavery is everywhere, even in sense gratifications, it only depends for what will you slave for? But in reality you have only 2 types of slavery, first is slavery to material existence or let me phrase better for own sense gratification and second one is serving God... But don't be mistaken, if you serve God everything that you have done during the day, offer this gift to him and he will protect you from bad reactions, witch are/can happen from working.
