Title: bfgminer error - staged work underrun; increasing queue minimum to 16
Post by: pandemic on October 01, 2013, 07:23:26 PM
I'm getting a few errors when using bfgminer with eclipsemc.com

first is:
staged work underrun; increasing queue minimum to 16

there's another similar error that talks about not being able to automatically change it to 18.

Any idea what this means or how to fix it?

It isn't an error.  It's informative.  It's normal behavior.

Digging up this pile of bones for another version/update of the question...and, I've searched on this site for another answer and one hasn't quite been clear yet.  Please forgive and redirect me if I'm digging too far back and missed another answer!

Now that the difficulty is over 3.1 BILLION, my solo-mining setup is now, at regular 45min intervals, saying:

[2014-02-17 18:00:05  Staged work underrun; not automatically increasing above 26]

I mostly get what that's saying.  Now, approximately every 135minutes it says:

[2014-02-17 20:13:45  Pool0 not providing work fast enough]

Pool0 is my installed Bitcoind client providing the work.  Is my miner (running at a measly 59Gh/s) now too slow to even get work via GBT from the Bitcoin-QT software?  "Increasing" what exactly?  The "pool difficulty" of my shares?

No, your PC is too slow to run the totally inefficient Bitcoin-Qt.
