Corn ??? i don't think there was a specific time and place where "bitcorn" was coined. i think it was just a play on words. the term was popularized after a professor from boston university (mark williams) predicted in 2013 that BTC would be trading at $10 a year later. he was named "professor bitcorn" by the community (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mark_T._Williams). i don't think there's a real explanation as to why he was named that. just a joke, really. anyway, the term stuck. now people shorten it to the "corn" :) Title: Re: Another name for bitcoin is Corn why? The Bitcorn term came from this hearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgdEwv381Z0&feature=youtu.be&t=3283 He's become a meme ever since lol. He's one of the earlier FUDers so he got a lot of attention. Title: Re: Another name for bitcoin is Corn why?
