I have been using artisbigshirts for the past couple months for various projects from banners, logos, icons, and other misc graphics.

He has been very professional with constant updates and previews throughout the process.

As a graphically illiterate person myself, he has been able to take my ideas and make great graphics with them.

I have also let his ideas run wild and he's come up with some great stuff for my sites that is currently in use.

Yes, I am very capable of creating work that is much higher quality than the low resolution graphics found in that thread.

Bounties don't usually facilitate as much of a response from the person requesting graphics which really influences what is produced.
That thread in particular I made the first mermaid quick, where it was met with lackluster response.
For the second attempt I put more effort into it's cuteness, and felt that it had MUCH better appeal but it was met with a similar response.

I didn't feel like chasing the bounty any further so I decided against producing anything else.
Watching the thread afterwards it didn't seem like anything met the standards set by OP.

Thanks man, that one was created for a competition for the Art Institutes.
I never ended up submitting it because the schools are for-profit and very expensive, and the winning amount would barely cover even a portion of a semester.
Repetition was a strong theme in the design. Horizontal repetition represents the vast scale that humanity today can provide to realize ideas.
Vertical repetition represents the passage of ideas through time and how they are passed from one person to the next, being filtered by each individual's perspective of reality.
