Title: Bitcoin as a decentralized currency convinient?
Post by: jerick06 on March 04, 2018, 11:38:33 AM
We all know that some people use btc for negative purposes (drug dealing, terrorism), so is bitcoin being a decentralized currency is really convinient? Why?

You're basically asking how criminals are taking advantage of decentralization?

Well, no one else can control your coins, unlike your bank accounts. The government can seize and freeze your bank accounts should they have sufficient reason to by talking to the bank itself. They can't do the same to your Bitcoin wallet unless they somehow force your private key out of you.

Bitcoin is a big difference to the bank. The disadvantage of the bank was that of bitcoin holders like the 3rd party. Bitcoin is decentralized and no one can control it and only limited the supply of bitcoin so it is particularly attractive to investors bitcoin is an investment like gold, silver or land also. The only bitcoin difference is that its liquidity is high and volatile so many are not as good as today's bitcoin.

Where do you live man, on the earth? Then know this, there is neighbour next door who is druggist and keep taking drugs all time. Do you know from where he buys that? Black market on the beach side and that too with his dollar bill. Dam, dollar is centralised currency but is it convenient?
Obviously it is convenient because its being used since long time and people use it anyway. What is wrong with bitcoin then? Just because it is decentralised doesn't mean anything about it. It's convenient and it gonna be there forever.

Dolar is used for negative purposes, like (drug dealing, terrorism). So is using a centralized currency really convenient? Why?

What is inconvenient are the criminals, not the coins.

That was in the past (<2013), Now criminals prefer anonymous crypto such as Monero or Zcash or that obsolete currency called dollars.
