The game is about buying and selling stuff, collecting cards and peeps, negotiating, and eventually getting to the investors heaven and getting good profits.

We can’t disclose all the details just yet, but trust us, it’s hell load of fun and possibilities! It's much more that any other existing Ethereum game is!


We have a few things to announce today:

1) We open up a subscription to be the first to get notified about the alpha launch!

2) We invite players to join Alpha. You can submit your application on our website. Selected members will get an access to the game soon.

3) We run an Airdrop. Subscribe (https://eth.town) to get 5 tokens (~$5) (as of March 15th) 2 tokens (much bigger value now).

4) We start the Airdrop bounty program. Super lightweight and easy to participate! (Ended on March 15th. Replaced with the new referral program: visit ETH.TOWN (https://eth.town) with MetaMask enabled to get more details.)

5) We run Facebook + Twitter bounty campaign here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3028492).


Let us introduce you to the GAME OF THE YEAR in the world of decentralized blockchain gaming. Our team has been working on this project since November last year, and now that we’ve made sufficient progress, it’s finally time to showcase part of our efforts to the community.

The key concept revolves around the purchase and sale of virtual real estate assets. You get the chance to try your hand at managing your very own crypto-company. Bring out the Vitalik in you! While conventional asset trading features (and profit-making) will be available, it’s just one element in the exciting game design that ETH.TOWN promises to achieve.

In this game, you will start off as a small property investor, and work your way up to the very top of the ranking ladder. Out-wit! Out-play! Out-strategise! Beyond a certain point in the game, and once certain conditions are met, you will be able to sit back and comfortably benefit from other participants’ actions. We won’t reveal more at this stage, but we promise that game mechanics will be rational, and it’ll be fun!

We’ll give away investor tokens as a reward. Each airdrop member is to get 5 tokens (approximately $5 worth) 2 tokens.

Investor tokens will give you the ability to gain profits from all the players playing the game. You’ll also be able to spend the tokens and obtain some cool in-game stuff.

1) Subscribe your e-mail to AirDrop on the Website (https://eth.town).
2) You’ll get a code, which you need to post on Twitter or on Facebook.

Please don't reply to our account. Post in your own timelines.

3) Follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/eth_town) and join our group on Facebook (https://fb.me/eth.town), this is mandatory (we will verify each subscription).
4) You need to confirm your email and enter your ETH address in the form on the website.

Notes:
- if you didn’t get an email, please check your spam folders. If nothing is there, please try subscribing with a different email.
- Airdrop rewards will be sent out when the final public version of the game is launched, the tokens will belong to the final version of the game.

It’s super simple. You’ll get rewarded not for simple posting of dummy tweets here and there, but for the real thing.
It’s more like a referral program. You give people a special link, and if they sign up with it, they participate in the airdrop too. And you get an additional reward!

Rewards: For each invitee you’ll get additional 2 investor tokens ($2 worth).
Top 3 participants (the ones who will invite the most people) will get extra cool content in the game (approx. 1 ETH worth).

Note: we verify all subscriptions manually. Cheaters will be disqualified completely, and we are good at spotting them.

I like game idea and token allocation is adjusted just in a way how should all games use this kind of concept. All players should have equal chances at the start and that is the best thing I like. I read all of ETH.TOWN articles at Medium and I can just say that you guys explained it step by step. The game will get more attention after the alpha test that is for sure because I didn't find anything identical to this. Exactly, and this is one of the first real games on the blockchain. I'm totally convinced it will go crazy once it is released. After all people have invested 1000 ETH in games that only had images, but this game has it all. Early adopters will definitely profit a lot :)

This project is really developing nicely.  It's refreshing to see actual progress instead of fluff and empty promises.

Here is their roadmap it looks very promising to me. Also, their support team is always active if you have any issue you can contact them. But first, read their medium articles.

Actual progress on an actual game coming from people who work in the domain, big difference from all the "games" we had so far.

The point is that this game got more dynamics from all crypto related games together. Because of that, this game gains my attention and this is the first game where I can see long-term gameplay.

Let me start by saying Dopest Ethereum base game i have come across so far in blockchain, this team are committed to what they want to offer and its gonna be real big, i really love the idea of the way sales of heroes are been done through auction, really amazing.

Read everything and I liked the game. I will follow this thread. I hope this game will not put network down like cryptokitties. Now there are very few such game projects. The developers have invested a lot in it. So I support the development. People love to play. So I think the project will be in demand.

Well, to warn newbies and newcomers, I'll just say: do not invest a dime in ETH.TOWN. It's now a (mostly) dead game.

I'll share my experience with all of you.

I invested a small amount of ETH on this game starting nine days ago (check this TX (https://etherscan.io/tx/0x87bdfb305fc0c06b39ebe55a17668766ab213bb131d8ea041d71ab7de60edd6a)). I put ETH in buying the “White House floor” (0.01 ETH), the “cauldron” (0.04 ETH split in three accounts I own), then 90 gems in the Gem Pot. Also, I bought some entry-level heros in OpenSea. All in all, about $20 in this game.

Then I waited. And waited.

The Gem Pot says “0.112 ETH will be split now” since at least nine days ago.

The White House floor is stuck at 0.646/1 ETH.

The Cauldron keeps saying “awarding” but no money is available to withdraw. There are cauldrons stuck at this state since at least July.

Only the “adventures” at the top of the building, and the fight arena seems to be working. The rocket thing is a fraud. Plainly a fraud. Avoid playing that, you'll lose money.

I tried to communicate with team members on Discord, Telegram, by email... Nobody answers.

So yes, my advice is to stay away from this game, at least until there's some official announcement. Also, if someone says that it needs more players to allow to cash out, it will be obvious that it's a Ponzi.

There's more. Checking my “airdrop bookmarks” I noticed that ETH.TOWN is in the same folder as many other projects that ended up being scams, ponzis, or frauds of some sort.

I don't want to state that this game is a fraud yet; I prefer to wait a little longer in case any funding member contacts me, but, as a precaution, be sure not to tempt yourself to try it out.
