I had one going for a bit and it was just horrible. I do not remember exactly what I was getting but it was not good. Probably cost more in electricity to run than what you get. Eth is memory intensive and the 1080's are much more core intensive gpu's.

And as far as mining ETH is concerned, I think you can find some other coins which you could mine, that are more profitable than ETH. Did a quick check between ETH and ZEC with my average settings for my farm and ETH won on both 1060, and 1070 at whattommine. 1070 ETH: 31mh/s Power 120 Equihash 450h/s Power 120 ETH Daily rev 1.71 Nicehash-ethas 1.67 Nichhas equihash 1.67 Hush 1.53 zec 1.50 |
