Title: (5) 1050ti rig question
Post by: Umrebel2009 on March 04, 2018, 04:42:49 PM
I'm new to mining, I just put together a 1050ti rig with 5 cards. I'm running simple miner doing a total of around 900 sol/s, around 170 to 190 sol/s per card.

I tried mining zcash for about 10 hours yesterday and then tried zencash for about 10 hours. In that time I made .004 Zcash ($1.50) and 0.009 Zencash ($0.28). Which would be 75 cents per day per card on zcash and 14 cents a day on Zen cash.

That seems pretty low or is that about right?

What are your OC settings on the cards?

You can use www.whattomine.com i guess, there you can choose how many and which cards you do have and receive some basic values for your profits. yes, they wont'be accurate, but can give you a hint..

How it is possible to get the 1.5 USD with mining zcash. Are mining via NiceHash or directly mining the zcash? I am really confused that whether he has made changes on the BIOS settings.
Else next possible things for this amount It may overclocked more than average thing.
Life of the card will be reduced than normal usage.

Overclock settings are +100 core, +500 memory, 75watts, fan 65%

I'm mining on smOS on ewbf0.3.4b miner

After 10 hours my zcash balance is 0.00384zec

Seen others saying they're getting $2 to $3 per card per day

Maybe 1080Ti can do $2-$3 per day. Not 1050Ti.

You should make $4 daily with 900 sol/s and I think you are wrong in your own calculation.
Can you try to install windows 10 os instead, for more flexibility when editing your OC. maybe you can increase a little bit sol/s each card when you OC them in windows.
You can also OC them in the dashboard of simple mining if you wanted to stay with that OS.
But I suggest to you to test it to another os so that you can optimize your miner to its full potential.

I have to agree....$2-$3 per 1050ti is just not realistic.  Thats more of a 1080 daily earnings amount.  I have 10 1050ti's myself and they run around .70-.90 daily, lately being towards the low side of that.  My 1080s earn $2-$3 a day each.  Im on win 10 pro and use nicehash currently.

Ok so it sounds like I'm earning about what I should be, because had I let it run for a full 24 hours yesterday I would have made around .75 to .80 per card

I think that is not low earnings.
If I use what mine with 0.1 $/kw*h =$3.32 in ZEC for 24 hours.
$1.5 for 10 hours is quite good. If you are not satisfied by this result try overclocking or change the pool. Maybe ETH/EXP mining will be more profitable for you

1050ti's are better at daggerhashimoto than they are at equihash, mine are doing ~15.3MH with +1000 mem clock which is pretty easy for them

It also takes a while for coins to confirm after they have been mined. Wait a few days and see if the coins from the previous day confirm.

Hi! I do have plenty of those cards.
Right now you will get more mining Ethash based algorithm. You will reach top performances on that algorithm with core -400 and mem +800. I personally set the power limit to 60W

With this settings, you will hash around 15Mhash.
Also you could mine some medium size coin, with a possible price increase in the future.
My advice is to mine ELLA on http://ella.pool.sexy/

I use VGA 1050 ti 4GB 12 cards get 186MH/s  mining Ethereum and I think it's still profitable
