Is that reason price is rising atm?

Ripple is not getting added to Coinbase, end of story.

This is correct. Ripple will no be added to Coinbase at the moment. We can think of it as a speculative push for the price of Ripple to go up. We all know that any article published in the internet can provide a significant push to any specific coin even if the information presented to it are false. This may be a strategy for the market makers to make some pump for Ripple. And we can say that there's nothing into it.

But, let's be real here and think that it can happen anytime. We can't disregard all the possibilities that it may happen in the future.  ;)

I give you a clue about the valid reason about that. As long as coinbase is not added ripple api to the platform and coinbase will never try to listed ripple in the coinbase platform. I was experiencing with bitcoin cash and after coinbase added bitcoin cash api and then some days later coinbase started to open the service for bitcoin cash.
It's just another rumour and doesn't believe it.

Whether we believe it or not is not relevant. These kind of rumors create an upwards trend which cause the prices to go up. We'll see if the news are true or not but for the record, I'm not buying it too...

I'm curious to know how you guys are so sure about that. There's for sure a good chance that Coinbase just lists it up, something which I'll not like (as I neither like Ripple nor Coinbase) but it sure can happen IMO.

This news doesn't mean anything. Of course if coinbase will add ripple, it will be a great surprise for XRP holders :) But i think that we should wait for this in near future.

It's been a long time since the past. He finally managed to be listed. The result is the 3rd currency of the market.

Sadly XRP will go down fast tonight when people discover that ripple on coinbase is still a fake

They will answer questions about crypto of that moron journalist that runs this "smart money" shows on CNBC. That is all what will happen.

I think ripple will not be added coinbase in this moment. But there is still chance to add on coinbase. It needs some time for done. Hopefully price will be rising.

I believe if Coinbase did really decide to add in Ripple onto their platform, it will surely increase the numbers of investors to invest into Ripple, as we could see the trading chart on the crypto-currencies trading market now, the values of Ripple is already up more than 5% since this rumors started.

I've never actually seen any alt rise when it gets listed on Coinbase except for Bitcoin Cash (yes, it is an alt, whatever you say). This Ripple price is climbing towards $1 again but it doesn't seem to be because of listing. Just the typical up and down of crypto. I've seen Ripple in the news this whole week now. Banks in Japan, banks in Middle East and now Coinbase. What's it take to get it to $2 I wonder?

Maybe rumors, and maybe the truth. Everyone decides for himself. I think that XRP has a lot of prospects for the future, he will definitely pick up the price in the future.

Maybe it's just na other hype together with this news so people will fomo to buy that news and start buying ripple again, better to analyze well to avoid being trapped, if coinbase will add ripple it will just a small pumped but will back down again, as you mention aside from bitcoin cash nothing was been really jump
so high after being added to this exchange.

Don't worry dude Ver or what his face won't be on the forums to rebut, we are all agreeing here that Bcash is an alt. Doubt Ripple actually gets added to Coinbase though, how many times are rumors in this industry smoke screens? It is almost like they are doing it on purpose, to get away with something somewhere else *tinfoil hat on, thinking intensifies*  ::).

Ripple never be on coinbase

Ripple is denied on Coinbase.
But honestly I invest in ripple, because I believe her potential is great in the future.

Yep, another thing just to pump a centralized coin but yeah XRP have a good technology that can really go even higher in the future but since its controlled by the team behind it, its still high risk to invest for. Ripple might try to enter coinbase again but I think they will still be denied.

I would find it a very odd move for Coinbase to list XRP.

Not only will transfer fees be minimal (so no income for Coinbase), Ripple is fintech and XRP may not have a very long life span. Also, once the market goes into gear again, I wonder how long XRP will stay 3rd/2nd mc ranked...

It was a pump and dump. Ripple is has been plummeting for the past few hours.

It will be a nice thing for one to see ripple on coinbase and I think this is going to push the price upward significantly. Ripple is getting pump now because of this and the news is all over the twitter and reddit. I think the samething that happened in around November last year when bitcoin Cash was listed at coinbase is going to repeat itself again. Ripple to the moon!

Ripple will not be added to coinbase for long time. But fake info can change price too. That's how different information works on the internet and affect in coins

Been watching the price and it reminds me of all recent airdrops like events. You know zcl and etc. I think it there will be selloff as its confirmed, sadly that happens a lot.

The news then revealed a hoax but everything can be useful to raise the price in the short term, we often see other Coin that has nothing real and useful for companies and investors but are driven by strong hype, on twitter or youtube .... just pay the right people and in a week the price can go up even 2-3-5 times.

Fortunately this is not the case with Ripple, and I'm sure that soon there will be this announcement with Coinbase .... my hypothesis is before the beginning of this summer!

Not every thing is lagit in Internet. 
Ripple is a centralised coin,  everyone knows that.
And its not gonna listed in coinbase without any reason.
