Title: Analytics for crypto
Post by: amitrovich on March 05, 2018, 07:55:05 PM
Does anyone know of any company providing analytics for the crypto investments? I mean real financial analytics, like they do in Investment Banks and Hedge Funds? Sharpe ratio, Alpha, Beta, Sortino, volatility...? I've done a lot of searching and closest I found is https://www.sifrdata.com/ (that's just a game play from a mathematician). Anything else?

I think that there is no real analytics for crypto projects. Because the analytics need data feed. In the world of cryptocurrency we have not annual financial reports, development strategies, etc.

Lot of analytics is drawn from the trading data, that's what I'm looking for...

Thanks! These are mostly trading signals, also useful, but it's for intraday trading. Analytics I'm looking for are for a bit longer time period.

There are so many websites that could provide reviews for crypto but real analytics are really hard to find.  The prices are so volatile and there are other factors that can affect a crypto project.  For me, the acceptance of a crypto by a wider audience is a guide that it is doing well.  Especially if it attracts investors who believes in the project platform that keep his investment safe.

Some banks have consultants that could advise you about criptocurrency. However, I think it is not experienced guys and they can't give you 100% proper advise

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on Pre-ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

I agree with you. There is no real analytics for crypto projects. Its volatility makes it unpredictable. It is just a matter of how wide its usage or how big is the population using it. The law of demand and supply applies to this. The higher its demand the higher will be its value.
