Post by: emanymton on October 07, 2013, 11:34:21 PM
Anybody have any idea whether the batch 2 sierras will return positive ROI if delivered on time?

It depends on what your opinion is on how the difficulty curve will progress, but in my calculations if HashFast delivers on time, it will ROI.

I tend to agree, if i got it today it would roi in under a month.

Even if it took 6-12mths, it's still far better than any other investment.

Just looking for alternate perspectives in case i've missed something.

Well, the terms of sale says you can't hold them viable for virtually anything and that they'll deliver them by Q1 2014 at the latest.  If they do take this long, it'll be bad for the buyers.

Yeah I saw that, but any real company who had even basic advice from legal counsel would have that as a condition anyway.
It's not necessarily a bad thing that they are doing the right thing in covering their backside, it could be seen as a good sign.

If they're telling the truth then they've gone from development to tape out quickest out of anybody we've seen so far.

I don't know why but I have a good gut feeling about them for some reason, I felt the same about KNC.

P.S. Love ur work tacotime  ;)

try this calculator in expert mode:
http://www.coinish.com/calc/#

leave the numbers as they are, just put your hash 1200000, and price, 7k
try adding just one, then two months (from today) to the "Time to Delivery" field.

so... if it takes 2 months from today to get it then NO. If you get the miner protection(12k), you'll still be in the hole 8k waiting on a max of 3 more units to allow you to make up for your loss.
